We were a group travelling Ecuador for two weeks. This was the very best hotel (considering the price, location and services) we stayed at. The rooms, the hotel and the staff, excellent. The location was also good . ||||The staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The breakfast offered eggs and they tasted better than any eggs that aren't fresh off the farm - and loads of fresh juices, fruits, and delicious croissants, I'm not sure why this hotel does't charge more, but take advantage of this deal if you can! ||||It is very close to Alausi, (30 minutes driving). Choosing this place we save some money, and we didn't regret because the quality we found!!. 100% recommended. ||||Also I saw many people as guest in this hotel, so I suggest to book the rooms in advance if you are travelling to...

Excellent hotel in Chunchi. Conveniently located - easy walk to the central park, banks, and a small blue church, where you have a great view of the mountains.||easy driving to Alausi and Ingapirca, it is just in the middle.||||Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Chunchi or nearby cities to book this hotel, very clean and comfortable rooms. staff were excellent and very helpful. food in the restaurant was also extremely good, the breakfast is just amazing.||||Chunchi is a small town with incredible views and everything is cheap comparing with other cities like Alausi. Taxi is just 10 USD to the Devil's nose train...

If you are looking for a great place to stop on a road trip between northern and southern Ecuador, look no further. Chunchi is a quiet little town that offers a handful of mom and pop restaurants and a really excellent hotel.

I have often contended the two most important things a hotel can I offer are a comfortable bed and a good shower. The Hotel Chunchi Imperial rates excellent on both counts— as good as many high-end hotels in the US or Europe (we booked the higher end room for about six dollars more). Add to the bed and shower, secure parking for our vehicle, a very friendly staff, and an outstanding breakfast included with the room fee.

Our breakfast came with fresh baked rolls, ham and cheese, fresh fruit, just-squeezed juice, coffee, and perfectly cooked eggs. Instead of stopping in Riobamba, Alausí, or Cuenca... stop here!
