Daniel’s hostel has pretty much everything a surfer can dream of: A hostel located 5mn walking distance from an epic point break, clean rooms fully equiped (it even has a fan), social areas with hammocks, outdoor kitchen in the garden and a clean bathroom. ||||Daniel is a host committed to ensuring you enjoy your stay. He took us on a tour by 4x4 through the beautiful surrounding desert to other nearby breaks, and even got the luxury of a little tour in Playas to get the best empanadas in town!||||When we were not surfing, we spent time in the social area, cooking together, bar-b-queing on the outdoor woodfired grill, chatting and listening to Daniel’s stories. We loved the multiple outdoor seating areas in his garden and the beer tab system. All you have to do is surf, relax, rinse and repeat. ||||We had an amazing time there, the trip wouldn't have been the same without this place. This is definitely the best place to...
Read moreDaniel & Nadija's surf shelter is the best hostel in Puerto Engabao! With alot of guests returning because Daniel & Nadija really make you feel like family. They are always in for a chat & jokes are for free. They motivated us beginners to keep surfing, and now we can surf (Sort of)

We never want to leave this place, even though that sounds like a cliché. It...
Read moreI stayed a bit over two weeks at the Hostal - I would have really enjoyed to stay longer. Great vibe at the Hostal. I arrived and was directly treated like a long known friend. Sharing meals, laughs and a lot of good and fun conversations. Daniel is super easy going and will help you with anything you need. I can absolutely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a chill stay in Puerto Engabao. The place is very clean, tidy and close to the beach and the few restaurants in town. The Hostal has hot water and an outdoor kitchen with all the necessary utensils. You can also wash your clothes at the Hostal, which is great as there is no real laundry...
