Grand Hotel La Mana — Hotel in La Maná

On our way from Baños to the coast we decided to stay the night half way and chose this hotel in La Maná. The hotel is located in the same building as the taxation authorities (S.R.I.) and seems to be newly constructed.||||The hotel has well sized rooms that are in good condition, even though it was not perfectly cleaned behind the doors in the room in with my mum and dad stayed. The AC worked great (both quick and rather silent) just as the TV.||||Breakfast was ordered already in the evening and had two option traditional "desayuno costeño" (coast breakfast) and "american breakfast" (I'm sure you can ask for other breakfasts if you like, but these are the main options). I had the costeñan breakfast, including rice, patacones (banana) and meat, served with bread, juice, and tea (or coffee). The breakfast was brilliant. The american breakfast is the Ecuadorian version and has very little (or possibly nothing to do) with what you would typically have in the US, with the main dish being a mix of fresh fruits, but american or not it was tasty (and healthy). ||||I would recommend this hotel if you want to do a stop over while travelling to or from the coast. This is the only hotel in La Manå that has an elevator. We were trraveling with my 95-yr old mother-in-law so the elevator was crucial. We were traveliong with another couple.We all were pleased with the room cleanliness and lack of any moldy odor that ois quite common on the coastal lowlands. ||||There is free internet but it is pretty bad. I ended up using my cellular data for my work.||||After the maids are done in the day, there is only one guy left to do everything. To show us the rooms, he had to lock the front door so he could take us upstairs. Likewise to park our cars in the garage, he had to lock the front door again to take us to the garage about a block away. This was not a problem for us. Fue grato encontrar en la web este hotel ya que su locación es en una ciudad muy pequeña pero muy comercial ya que es un centro de acopio y gestión agrícola muy productivo de Ecuador. Su web page es muy similar a la realidad. Infraestructura nueva y cómoda, buen servicio, limpieza, seguridad y excelente su desayuno (incluido en tarifa) además de rápida conexión wifi. Recomendación: ubicar sus pantallas en alturas más bajas y que los controles remotos no se entreguen en la recepción; hacer estas dos acciones denotará más aun que son un hotel con todas sus letras....
