Our taxi driver had some difficulty finding this hotel because it is in the south end of Loja away from the central area where most of the hotels are located. But, the hunt was worthwhile. This rather elegant, small hotel is family run. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The oldest son, Cristain was particularly helpful because he has a good command of English.||||Although, the hotel is a ways from the main tourist attractions in central Loja, transportation was quick and easy. The north-south city bus line runs right past the hotel and the fare is just 25 cents. Taxi fare to any place in the central part of Loja is fixed by law at $1 while the fare to the main bus depot (Terminal Terrestrial) is $1.50.||||Our room was clean, neat and comfortable. There was free wi-fi Internet service. The breakfasts that were included in the price of the room were excellent. They included a fruit plate, a tree-tomato smoothie, fresh rolls, a slice of cheese, coffee or tea, and scrambled eggs. Suppers in the restaurant were inexpensive and tasty. However, the menu was very limited and service was very slow because the food was prepared to order.||||The bathroom was large, neat and clean. However there was just cold running water at the sink. There was a nice bathtub but it proved impossible to take a bath because there was no stopper for the tub and the only source of water was an electrically heated shower head. The shower head did provide a reasonable supply of warm water so showers were possible.||||Although there were some problems during our three-day stay here, we will stay here again the next time...

The wifi did not work for us. When we went to check out, we were charged an additional $16 because the proprieter said breakfast was only for three people even though we were in a room for four. I felt cheated when the price was changed. ||There is a lot of water damage in the ||hotel and the garden was not...
Read moreThe staff couldn't have been more helpful, went out of their way to help me print my plane tickets. Very nice folks. We didn't have breakfast as we left too early. The bathroom had not been cleaned in a long time and the lobby although delightful was also dirty. The shower had one of those little electric water heaters which was lukewarm at best. Only one towel and no hand towel but that was rectified. The people in the room above us talked until 1 am just like they were in with us, squeaky floorboards. The dog next door barked almost all night and I realize this is not the fault of the hotel but left us drained for an early bus ride. Could have found somewhere...
