I discover this farm and retreat when visiting with some friends to enjoy some Swiss cuisine in the heart of the Ecuadorian jungle.

Getting there might be tricky if you don't have a four-wheel drive or a vehicle that's is higher off the ground as you have to navigate some uneven and rocky path after crossing Rio Pastaza.

The awesome food aside, this farm is beautiful as the owner has cleverly designed the space around the natural surrounding of protected forest, creeks and waterfalls.

Guests can spend countless hours in the pools that has varying depths, accommodating both children and adults. The water can be a little cooler.

There are several shaded pavilions with tents that guest can rent to spend a night or two. There is a bigger pavilion at the highest point on site with several tents (from 1 to 5 men capacity), a fire pit, and a couple of hammocks.

I like this spot the best because of the view and privacy if you have a larger party of campers. There are also two toilets & sinks next to this spot but you still need to go down to where the pool is to shower.

I noticed too two large buildings under construction, probably offering some more comfortable accommodation (if you don't want to sleep in tents and on foam mats) in the near future.

There are a handful of trails to explore the surrounding jungle and Iook forward to a chance to stay here during my...

It's a nice location and the restaurant is very good, but unfortunately the night we stayed here there was no running water due to a broken pipe. They did get this fixed in the morning, but it was too late for a shower. Also, the bathrooms are quite a ways away from the tents. And the tent we stayed in had some mold growing on it. We still had a good time exploring the area.
