What an amazing experience we had as guests of Diego and Sophie. We stayed here with some family and were all treated with top notch hospitality. Diego took the time to immerse us into local life and culture of the day. It was great to see the time and effort put into giving you a chance to live a few days comfortably in the jungle. Sophie kept us well fed with the utmost hospitality. As a bonus, the whitewater rafting tour hosted by Diego was a ton of fun. We were made to feel safe for the entire time. Diego runs a wonderful operation at Jungle Roots. He and his staff were very kind, generous and knowledgeable. We stayed two nights in an incredibly artistically crafted tent-like structure created by Diego and staff using mostly local materials straight out of the rain forest. Our breakfasts were beautifully prepared by Oliver each morning, hot and fresh! We spent one day rafting and kayaking with Bryan and Leandro on the Class 3 Jatun Yaku River. My partner and I had a great time staying at Jungle Roots. If you are looking for creature comforts of glamour, this isn't the place for you, this is a true eco-stay that makes a low impact on the planet.
