As many have said, this is a nicely constructed and decorated, clean hotel. Our room had a solid bed, plenty of shelf space, a small refrigerator and nice air conditioner. The shower had decent water pressure and good hot water. We paid for the "suite", which I wouldn't consider a suite at all, but maybe the other rooms didn't have a fridge or something. I appreciated the simplicity of the decor and the modern feel. The building seems pretty new, with stairs that don't creak and windows that seal well. The first night, a couple of noisier families checked in late and sat outside our room talking until late, then got up early with their kids. When we mentioned this to the owner, she talked to them that day and ultimately they checked out that afternoon. ||||They have a restaurant area and alluded to breakfast in the morning, but we were up at 8:00 and no one was to be seen down in the kitchen area, so we took a short walk up the beach and found some coffee and a bolon. By the time we got back to the hotel, they were awake and starting to make breakfast for some other guests. The second evening we opted to ask for dinner at the hotel, and they served a nice fried fish and shrimp pasta (homemade). It was good, but on the pricey side. ||||They parking inside was full, so we parked on the alley behind the property and the car was fine. Upon checkout, we found they don't accept credit cards, so luckily we had just enough cash on us to cover the bill.||||Overall, the things that took away from our stay were the lack of clarity on breakfast, though I'm sure if we had asked in advance she would have told us. Also, the other guests' noise, which the owner addressed as soon as we mentioned it to her. If you're willing to pay more for a nicer place, this may be the place for you. As everyone has mentioned, the balcony is pleasant and breezy and has beautiful views...

Iv stayed in some wonderful places but nowhere have I been made to feel so welcome and cared for as at Casa Nautilus. Carolina and Fiorenzo are the most caring and natural of hosts. It was my pleasure to experience their home cooking and it was simply delightful....You really need to try it to believe it. ||The accommodation is just what you need...clean, comfortable and simply but nicely furnished.||Iv never written about anywhere on Trip advisor before but feel obliged to when the whole package was such amazing value. It sounds trite but I truly arrived a guest and...
Read moreI loved staying at Casa Nautilus. It offers beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean and a wonderful courtyard to relax in with hammocks and a shower with direct access to a much more secluded part of the beach for a peaceful day of swimming and sunbathing.
But in addition, as an American it was amazing to talk to Carolina, how speaks English very well and learn about the Ecuadorian culture and be treated with such warmth and hospitality.
It is always the people you meet that make a trip worth taking and I'm so happy to have met Caroline and recommend her hotel...
