Inti Kamari- Wellness Lodge & Convention Center — Hotel in Santa Isabel (Chaguarurco)

We stayed at Inti Kamari for three nights in November. The property is expansive with many different options for accommodations, from private rooms and cabins to family style houses. The landscaping is beautiful with a variety of fruit trees, flowering shrubs, lagoons and lovely walking paths. There is also a beautiful covered gazebo for yoga and a refreshing swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Also, four friendly dogs and at least a couple of affectionate cats.||||||The service is exceptional! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. This retreat is family run, Gustavo and his wife Martha built it from the ground up and their son Wilson is involved with the management. They are justifiably proud of their accomplishment, and work hard to ensure your stay is everything you expect. Leslie is in charge of reception and is seemingly everywhere at once and always ready to help in any way. The meals in the onsite restaurant were delicious and very fairly priced, and they accommodated our vegetarian needs. ||||The only minor negative was the occasional noise from an addition they are building and some road noise. This is a 4 year old large event venue -- it seems multi-purpose and has a small country inn ambiance ( como una posada ) and a family on site to assist. Spanish speaking with English available. Two pools for swim or relaxation.||||Heartily recommend the rooms -- as well as places to walk and "be away"... Inti Kamari has a unique feel -- a natural lake with geese, large Yoga and meditation pavilion, forests and paths throughout the property -- also permaculture exhibits, special seed bank demonstration building, opportunities to volunteer, teach yourself and others, etc. This place is many things to many people, I suspect --but most of all, you can truly "get away", be quiet and find yourself. ||||Very good food , comida casera. Room includes a large breakfast , fresh fruit everywhere which is abundant and very delicious. Staff is most accommodating and delightful. Very warm vibe throughout . .. if you ask at Inti Kamari, they may be able to help...

We spent two nights mid-week at this beautiful lodge. Our room (and everything else) was extremely clean and very comfortable. The owner and the staff are wonderful, always seeking to make the stay a great experience. We ate all our meals at the lodge and they were very good.

I thoroughly enjoyed the heated swimming pools, hot tub and spa. My husband enjoyed lounging in the comfortable chairs in the main lodge (he's not a water guy).
