Just came back for a 2 week vacation at this hotel.||The hotel looks unique and different to most all inclusive hotels. ||The food was very limited, small buffet options the food wasn't labelled so be careful if you have any food allergies. The à la carte restaurants had the same food as the buffet. After the two weeks were up I felt like I was getting away from hell and returning home for decent food. I wouldn’t recommend eating the salad or having ice in your drinks. Myself and my family all|got the standard tummy bug as you do from Egypt. I was very disappointed there was no all day snack bar and what was supposed to be ice cream on a daily basis I think the 14 days I was there I got ice cream 4 days. There was one day I had to keep going up for ice cream over and over again just to get my 2 weeks worth of it. When it came to drinks there was all ways an option but the bar staff would make you a drink that wasn’t even on the menu so just be careful what they are making you. The cocktails were very strong. There is a new part of the hotel by block 3 and 4 where there is a swim up bar. The bar staff each morning would bring an ice coffee to everyone in the area. If you are not In the pool ordering drinks. They can be very rude if you walk to the bar and they send you away and will come to you for an order. We did tip them at the end of the holiday where they suddenly got very friendly with us. Soft drinks were small but while we was there I asked for mango juice and was told I could I could one have 1 glass of it. Now i thought this was all inclusive not bed and breakfast. |||The entertainment was shocking , really disappointing and was only on 21:00pm-22:00 for an hour. Each day there was something different on but when staying for more than a week you get the same entertainment again. Which is by the main pool and you have to sit on sunbeds from 8pm if you arrived after 8 there would be nowhere to sit. Myself and my boyfriend had to sit on the grass to watch.||The animation team were ok. They didn’t look like they wanted to be there in the evening and they do have a lottery night which is good the first time you do it but we did it twice each week we was there the second time we did we did win but by the time we got to the stage the animation person gave our prize away. The only decent price there was a trip to orange bay which was a beautiful place. So if you ask me I would say the reps were a 3/5 . There was a few reps that would come up to us and ask if it was our first day and we be half way through our second week, ||There are shops on the hotel property|But there are over priced and any English people that go there will get ripped off and over charge you have to Barta with them. One of the shop owners tried to charge me £40 for 2 towels. So I wont recommend going to those shops, however down the road from the hotel there is a shop called the 3 Pyramids everything in the shop was priced and all decent prices nothing seemed over priced the staff in that shop was friendly and they do free transport to and from the shop. They will pick you up and drop you off back at your hotel and they don’t even take a tip.|||When it comes to the pools you have 3 to choose from. You do get given towels cards when you arrive I would highly recommend using their towels as it stops your towels getting dirty. Each time you Finnish at the pool you can get a fresh towel for the next day. The main pool has a foam party which was good and the trips are a great experience also You do get harassed all the time to do trips. We did quad bikes and snorkelling and went to orange bay via a boat. The sea is very fair out you have to walk 20 mins to get into deep water. Lots of jelly fish!!! The staff at the beach are wonderful. If you get a chance to go to the beach there is lovely guy I can’t remember his name but his camel Ali who wears blue is the most beautiful and friendly camel I ever bet. If you get a chance to meet Ali and his owner you won’t regret it. ||||Overall, experience could have been better but was still cool experience. I am hoping the hotel management will take feedback and improve the hotel for a better stay for...
Read moreThe place feels like a building site and is filthy in many areas. The cave theme feels more like an excuse not to finish the place properly than a design choice.
• Rooms are dark, dingy, dusty, and not properly maintained. very dusty on the floors, understandable that it’s ‘cave’ themed but the minute you get out of the shower your feet were grey again. The shower is terrible, no consistent temperature and in the evenings, we had no hot water at all in our block, cold showers all round! • Pools are freezing, even though they’re advertised as heated. • Most of the staff are unfriendly, apart from bar staff who genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. Especially, MUSTFA, MUFASA AND MOHAMAD. • Our cleaner barely cleaned the room – mainly just made the bed each day. • There’s not enough seating in the restaurant or bar area, everyone has to sit on the sunbeds to watch the evening entertainment • The entertainment team seemed to really struggle with enthusiasm each day. The girls are only there for the free bed and board, they definitely don’t enjoy their jobs! The entertainment is supposed to be from 9pm till 11pm, it started at 9 but was finished by 9.30/9.45 and then its just music playing till 11pm, then nothing, unless you pay to go in the night club. • In the mornings, guests are left to clean around the pool area from the night before. • Pool towels are old, tatty, and smell awful. • The whole place is a trip hazard with uneven flooring and poor lighting. Food was disappointing. I had to eat chips, Chicken and bread the whole time. On fish night, 6 out of the 8 of us ended up with chips and gravy because it was just fish. Nothing was labelled so you didn’t know what it was, just said fish on everything. If you have allergies this is not the place for you, no labels on anything. Snack bar never got order right and had to wait a long time States ‘free WiFi’ but this is only free in lobby and a couple of other areas. Charge £10 per 20GB of WiFi if you want it in your room and around the other areas.
Late flight day was a poor experience. There are usually decent facilities to freshen up before collection. Not here. • The “shower” was a tiny cubicle inside the toilets with no private changing space. • They didn’t provide towels unless you ask and its only pool towels We paid £60 to keep our room until 6pm States ‘free WiFi’ but this is only free in lobby and a couple of other areas. Charge £10 per 20GB of WiFi if you want it in your room and around the other areas. Mosquitoes everywhere. If you are prone to getting bitten be prepared, after our first night, one of our party had 31 bites, everyone was covered. They are mostly from the bar and restaurant area in the evening. Be warned This really isn’t a guest friendly place, the animation team spend all day going round trying to get you to buy tickets to the night club, or beach party or lottery. The managers are very unfriendly. We had a couple of incidents with our safe and they treated us like it was our fault. Really not a nice experience. The worst thing for us was the owner. There is no where near enough seating in the bar, the staff do their best to find you tables and chairs where they can, however at 9pm every night, a table and chairs come out of the back for the owner and his friends, he sits in prime position watching everything and he is the main priority for everything, one night, we were struggling to find chairs, a group left so we went and got the chairs, sat down and a member of staff came over and took the chairs off us and gave them to a group of young girls that were sat at the owners table. That was the final straw for us, just showed how much they don’t care about guests. I’ve come away from this holiday genuinely disappointed, especially considering the amount of money I spent. It’s been one problem after another. I even paid extra for a deluxe room, but honestly, all the rooms seem to be the same standard — so don’t waste your money on the upgrade.
Definitely not 5* I’d say more 3 star. Everyone’s opinions are...

We had a great time and holiday at the Caves and found the weather was great and found the staff both friendly and helpful.
The hotel location is to the north of Hurghada about 30 minutes out of the city centre and anyway from all local amenities and only the overpriced hotel shops to choose from. It has a real mix of clientele of varying ages and from numerous countries too. The hotel in areas is being updated with rooms being refurbished as it does look tired in places.
The hotel has 2 pools, the one nearest the restaurants is heated for the cooler months, the other pool runs about of half the length of the hotel complex and allows the swim up rooms to enter it, probably worth bearing in mind if you book a swim up room its not exclusive to those rooms that you normally find as everyone has access. I would imagine that sunbeds would be at a premium in the summer months as they were full in February when the hotel is half full.
The animation team work hard keeping everyone entertained and we particularly enjoyed the foam party in the swimming pool for Valentines Day but the constant loud music round the pool although enjoyable is nice to escape from so we went to the beach a couple of days to enjoy the peace & quiet.
Having been to many All Inclusive before you expect the spirits to be different but I must say I couldn’t get on with the flavour, both the Gin and Vodka tasted the same and the Brandy and Whisky too the only one I could get on with was the Rum but I found the local beer the most palatable drink as its out of a can and no two barman made the cocktails the same.
The hotel has a main buffet restaurant supplemented by 3 “Al a Carte” restaurants and a snack bar open at lunchtimes. The restaurant is kept really clean with a similar menu for both lunch and dinner with little change in the menu at all during our stay and the food could be hotter as its all luke warm. Surprisingly there was a real lack of fresh fruit compared to other hotels we have stayed at and no ice cream apart from a small tub given out one lunchtime again other hotels its a constant at lunch and dinner also a hot chocolate would have been nice a breakfast time but wasn’t an option. The Al a Carte restaurants were enjoyable with probably the Teppanyaki our favourite with a nice bit of theatre and the food was tasty too followed by the Grill House the Oriental Restaurant turned out to be Egyptian food not sure when Egypt became part of Asia ? Also there is bar near the beach doing handmade pizzas, sandwiches and burgers which are well worth having a geat alternative at lunchtime while sitting in the sun.
Our room was large and the bed was comfortable and very novel being like a cave this although made the room dark so shaving and applying make up can be problematic. The TV had 30 channels with only a film channel with subtitles and a Chinese channel the only ones in English. Also there was no chair in the room or bath mat on the bathroom. We did have a few issues the lock on the door was extremely temperamental and sometimes took 3 or 4 attempts to get in, the bedside light didn’t work and the sink leaked when emptied all over the bathroom floor. Housekeeping visited daily but all they do is make the bed and change the towels and empty the bins there was no cleaning of the bathroom or sweeping /mopping of the floor, checking with other guests there experience was the same with more focus on towel art on your bed than actual cleaning !
