my rather contradictory impressions of this so-called hotel. In some sources, it is listed as a 3- or 4-star hotel. In my opinion, this place can barely be considered 3 stars, and only because it is indeed located by the sea, and the beach is just 50 meters away. However, the loud phrase "beach bar," where there is no snacks, is quite frustrating. The restaurant serves fairly tasty food, although the selection is not very large, and I was quite shocked by the fact that drinks were served in disposable cups. After that, the positives of this place end. They do not serve alcohol because the owners are non-drinkers. There are big problems with cleaning: every day we had to ask for fresh towels and two half-liter bottles of water because that’s all we were allowed to have in the room. There was no talk of having the bed made or the floor cleaned. I suffer from a dust mite allergy, and the dirt quickly triggered my allergy. I’ve never coughed so much We went to the pharmacy every day There was no hairdryer in the room, we were placed in the basement, the room was freezing cold. They brought us a spiral heater, but it was a rather dangerous device for completely blind people, It seemed that the hot water came from a boiler because it was barely enough for one person to shower. As a result, the vacation turned into an absolute nightmare. I was there with my boyfriend from December 30, 2024, to January 8, 2025. We are both blind and couldn’t buy alcohol for New Year’s Eve because the alcohol store was about 3 kilometers away from the hotel. They charged us $20 per person for participation in the New Year’s Eve party. For this money, we got just a disco with Arab-English-Russian music from the 80s, poor sound quality. They promised a festive dinner, but I saw no difference. Someone was playing the violin — also quite badly. They were popping popcorn. This was my first sober New Year’There was no real program for the New Year’s Eve party. The next day, despite the fact that the entire staff had been quite drunk on New Year’s Eve, the owners decided to fire one of the senior managers — one of the few competent employees. Many staff members have no qualifications to work in a hotel, and few people at the reception speak English, let alone other languages. when my boyfriend and I wanted to take a tour to Cairo. We were told that if we wanted a guide who would speak our native language and guide us by hand, we would have to hire a private car, which was twice as expensive. I asked several times about the program for the excursion, but in the end, after paying for two people, we did not get the promised guide, only a Russian-speaking translator. The paid lunch included specific dishes, but the drinks were only paid for our escort They promised a visit to a market, but we were only taken to one store. They also promised to take us to visit our friend, but the driver started complaining after lunch that his time was up. When we returned, the person who had sold us the excursion disappeared for three days, and we never saw him again before our departure. Instead, there was a guy at the desk who knew nothing about the situation. We asked him to at least take us to a market in Hurghada for free, but we were charged another $20. Our package included a free sauna, and the jacuzzi could be used for $5. We decided to try it. They took us to a completely unprepared sauna, and we had to wait 30 minutes for it to warm up. The jacuzzi turned out to be quite old and with barely warm water. Additionally, they kicked us out after an hour and a half, not the two hours we had booked. When we checked out, the reception told us we had to pay for lunch, and only thanks to the general manager were we able to have lunch. The room does not have a safe, and if you leave your valuables in the safe at the reception, there will be problems. Also, the concept of Wi-Fi only exists at the reception. My conclusion is that places like this,...
Read moreI and 16 others stayed a week at this resort and aside from our experience with the tourist agency had a pleasant time. Rooms and food were decent, slightly dirty rooms, but the views from the hotel and pool were amazing!! Location from the tourist attractions was rough 25/30 mins.
Please avoid booking any excursions with Ahmed, who works at the lobby. We booked two trips- safari, boat package.
The safari trip which overall was a pleasant experience with no problems in general.
However, the boat trip was a nightmare. We explained we’d like a large private boat since there was a lot of us, he showed us pictures of a lovely boat, Boat Adam. To then later mention the boat was unavailable due to technical issues. He offered Cute Dolphin which was the same as Adam, but again technical issues. Concerning. We asked for a refund but was told he would keep 15,000 EGP. He proceeded to provide us pictures with another boat, smaller than the previous, with 3 rooms, which we accepted to not lose our money. Upon arrival to the boat, we were told we were not allowed to use the rooms, and it was for the staff?! Why show the pictures then??
After the second the activity, members of another boat called out a problem with our boat, they told us our boat was sinking!! We then found out the wire in the engine was not running and were stuck in the middle of the ocean for well over two hours. So in the end, same as the other two boats, technical issues!! We had to climb to another boat, without life jackets, many members were extremely stressed to the point they felt sick and could not enjoy their time. Baring in mind our ages ranged from 10-52 it was not easy crossing over boats.
The package came with water activities which we could not do we asked Ahmed for a partial refund but he felt no remorse and stated we came safe and sound now so there’s not an issue. There were constant changes and no regard for our safety. He also lied and gave us another agency name, as a result another company’s review went down. He claimed we were liars and kids. His attitude has been absolutely disgusting!!
I would just like to mention the men on the boat were lovely and helpful, they really tired to calm our nerves. The problem is with Ahmed.
Please to do not book with them, we will not...
Read moreWe stayed at Juliana Beach Hotel in August 2025, located in the Al Hayaa area. While the hotel is a little far from the city center, the location is still convenient and manageable.
Check-In & Staff The check-in process was smooth, thanks to Mrs. Seham, who was very helpful and welcoming. Overall, the staff were consistently friendly and supportive throughout our stay.
Rooms & Facilities • Most rooms feature either full sea views or partial sea views, while some face the back of the hotel. • We were allocated two rooms: one with a partial sea view by the poolside and another with a full sea view. • Despite being in the same price category, the rooms varied in size and layout. • The furniture is relatively new, and the in-room and bathroom facilities are average.
Hotel Amenities • The hotel has a swimming pool and a small aqua park. The pool can get quite busy on weekends. • The beach is mostly sandy with some rocky patches, so beach sandals are recommended. It is, however, safe and suitable for families and children to swim. • There is one on-site restaurant, but we did not dine there as our stay was room-only.
Surroundings & Services • At the hotel entrance, you’ll find a supermarket with local pricing, a pharmacy, and a café serving sandwiches and meals. • The hotel also offers taxi and trip bookings, though we personally used Uber. • The majority of guests were Egyptian, with only a few international visitors.
Downsides The only inconvenience was the electricity system, which operates on a prepaid card. Power can cut off unexpectedly, but to be fair, the staff responded quickly to recharge the card whenever we called.
Overall Impression Juliana Beach Hotel offers a good value for money stay with friendly service, family-friendly facilities, and reasonable prices. While there are some areas for improvement, especially with the electricity system and room consistency, our overall experience...
