La Boutique Inn — Hotel in Al Ahia'

We stayed at La Boutique from June 14-21st 2023. The rooms were spacious, clean, functional with extremely comfy beds. That exceed well beyond what you expect for £25 for a double room with king size bed. The power showers & air conditioning were very welcome too. There is a breakfast room just off the main reception. Breakfast was included in our stay, omelette, mixed cheeses, sliced meat, tomato, cucumber & bread with jam. There’s a roof terrace with bar, restaurant & pool. But the jewel in La Boutiques crown, is their fantastic staff. The manager Mohamed Hassan, goes out of his way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible (we were even treated, to dinner for 2 and a bottle of wine on the eve of my birthday (we were spending my birthday in Cairo, to see the great pyramids) Mina the charming assistant manager was always on hand to help. Even offering to take me to hospital, to get me a prescription for meds. When a bout of Endema flared up on my leg, where I’d recently broken an ankle. Luckily many prescription meds can be bought over the counter in chemists for 50-75p a pack. Barman Abanob the always upbeat barman, provides excellent service & will give you info on what business in the Marina area rip off tourists. Mohamed Kaauf (who’s surname means baby Camel) is the eternally smiling face, of reception & room service. Hussain is the lovely chef, who produces food to order morning to night. And last but not least Alexander & Refa the waiters, where nothing was too much trouble. Just got back last night from here, a perfect gem with the most helpful hotel staff I have even met, felt more like family and nothing was too much trouble. The roof pool is an Oasis of calm. Two party/show nights a week that are really packed and good fun. Beds really comfy with free air con, no Wi-Fi in rooms (however you can buy an Egyptian sim at airport, which I will do next time). Wi-Fi very good downstairs and rooftop pool bar. meals excellent. I travelled alone and they made me feel very safe, helping with trips, taxis and money exchange at current rates. So we popped in for drinks and to see the lovely rooftop terrace. Enter through the lobby and take the lift to the top where there is loads of seating, tables and a pool. Our daughter sat in the dwing chair to read, but there are even bean bags to chill in. Did not eat but the menu looked OK, but best of all is the bar which had spirits for the ladies who are missing their fix. Look forward to seeing what this place becomes but first impressions is this could be the place to go in the future, and I hope it does just that because the sunset views are amazing.
