I chose the Holy Family Hotel as a base to explore Tell El Amarna, Beni Hassan and Tuna El Jebel, after looking on the internet for the most comfortable option I could find. I felt that I absolutely landed on my feet. This cliff-top hotel is clean, has amazing views over the nile, the staff are incredibly welcoming, and the food is wholesome and hearty.
