Nile Transport Hotel — Hotel in Al Qalyubiya

Stayed here for four nights at the start of an 18 month “world tour.” It seemed a bit odd to arrive at a hotel having just cleared customs and have to go straight into a pay down and luggage scanner before even making it into the hotel. ||Beautiful big room. Traditional style décor and my balcony was right on the banks of the Nile. The view across the Nile was breathtaking. It was embarrassing to be told by a young girl on reception when I checked in that I wasn’t allowed to have any “visitors” in my room! Oh okay then!! Not really advertised as such but this is a no alcohol, very Muslim hotel. I saw no other westerners there in 4 days.||Gym is for women during the day - even though no women use it, so I had to wait until evening to use the gym whilst it sat empty during the day. Likewise, the pool was being used for some sort of swimming tournament on at least 2 days so I couldn’t use that either. ||Breakfast was bountiful with sweet breads, fruits and small sweet items. Horrid local coffee. I don’t drink so the no alcohol wasn’t an issue for me. ||Cairo wasn’t for me! If I ever came back I’d try another hotel, just to see what it was like. Reception...

We arrived at the hotel and everything looked nice and okay.|But on day after we have to ask two times for an extra duvet and clean towels. The room wasn't cleaned. |The second day we had no warm water and we had booked a tour to the pyramids. As of this, we needed to eat at 9, where the restaurant should have been opened.|However it was closed and after multiple times asking for breakfast and informing the we needed to hurry. We where first able to start our breakfast at 10. The result was we didn't make it to our tour on time. |So we wasted our money.||We have received our money for the hotel booking back. |So that is good in view of the...

الايجابيات: فندق اطلالته جميلة على النيل مباشرة، قريب من معظم الاماكن السياحية فالقاهرة حيث تصل تعرفة اوبر الى ٥٠ جنيه فقط. الموظفين لطفاء

السلبيات: بطء الاستجابة لطلبات النزيل و التسويف. الانترنت ضعيف لانهم يعتمدون على راوتر واحد لعدة غرف ف لو غرفتك بعيدة الانترنت ضعيف. الخزنة لا تعمل و لم يتم اصلاحها على مدى ٣ ايام من اقامتنا ف اضطررنا الى حمل مقتنياتنا الثمينة معنا طوال الوقت او تركها عند الرسبشن. المطعم بطيئين جدا فالسيرفس، تطلب شاي يقدمولك اياه بعد نصف ساعه. المسبح يغلق الساعه ٣ مساء! اول مرة اشوف مسبح يسكر قبل المغرب صراحة النظافة في الفندق ليست على ارقى مستوى. من الاخر الفندق اقيمه نجمتين او ثلاثة و لا يرقى الى...
