I stayed at Sakan 275 for five nights in July 2016. I booked via Booking.com and communicated with the Hotel via email before travelling. Responses (in English) were fast and clear and resulted in them arranging a Taxi transfer from the Airport (only 30 - 45 minutes away) at a reasonable price for me.||||I rented a Double Room with balcony but received an upgrade to a Two-room Self-catering Apartment. The accommodation was clean and tidy, including a bedroom, lounge (with sofa-bed) and separate bathroom. Flat screen TV (never switched on by me), fridge, efficient air conditioning (in both rooms) and reasonable speed WiFi were all included.||||The Receptionists were friendly and helpful. None could speak English but this was not a problem. Only once (on arrival) did we need to resort to a quick telephone call to the owner (Mr Mohamed - very helpful and speaks excellent English) to clarify an issue.||||Sakan 275 is nicely situated in a quiet part of New Cairo, almost bordering the desert so a good night's sleep is virtually guaranteed. There is a small local supermarket less than ten minutes walk away, with bars, shops and other facilities within 5km - only a few minutes by car because there is virtually no traffic in this part of the city.||||I used two Taxi companies during my stay - both were excellent in terms of service and price. Accordingly, I can recommend both, as follows:||||Mr Khalid (Tel: 0114 449 4447) as arranged by the Hotel; and,||Mr Mohamed Sobhy (Tel: 0100 157 7830).||||In summary, I experienced a very peaceful and pleasant stay at Sakan 275 and would certainly be happy to stay there again. ...
Read moreSakan 275 was a great hotel. I stayed there for 2 months. It was very clean and bug free which has not always been my experience when I traveled throughout Africa and various parts of the MiddleEast. The members of the staff were very responsive to my needs. I am not fluent in Arabic so every time I needed a taxi Mr. Ahmed, the owner and his staff were very eager to help me. Mr. Ahmed also drove me to the grocery store in his personal car shortly after my arrival. He is a very friendly man. It is an affordable hotel and it is a hidden gem in Egypt. Even when I took a 7 day vacation in Dubai and I didn’t want to travel with all of my luggage that I brought from the United States, Mr. Ahmed agreed to keep some of my luggage at the hotel during the period in which I traveled. I had a wonderful experience during my two months stay at the Sakan 275 hotel. I highly...
Read moreWe would definitely come back again! We have enjoyed staying at Salam 275 hotel during our visit to Cairo. The room we booked was exactly as it’s described online, the stuff are very nice and respectful and they go above and beyond to help their gusts with everything they need And specially MOHEMADE RIFAD who work at the front desk is a supper genuine, very special nice man! The first night we checked in at their hotel, we did not have any Egyptian currency yet to purchase anything, and thus, he went ahead and paid for all of our meal from his own money… (and offer to help if theirs anything else that we need) and we returned his money to him the next day. They assisted us with everything we need at the hotel and or outside, directing us touring the city, places to go and even find us the honest taxi drivers that we can use. We appreciate...
