New Panorama Resort — Hotel in Faiyum

Visit date: June 18th I wouldn't recommend this place for many reasons: 1. Visiting Fayoum to see the lake is part of the experience, but the resort leaves the beach without the minimum care. 2. The swimming pool is pretty small. With large number of visitors, it is just a nightmare. There's another small/child pool but the area there is not good at all. 3. The public restrooms are so dirty and there are only two of them. 4. The quality of food at the restaurant was average--nothing special. Perhaps because we were a very large group!

However, the rooms are pretty acceptable. Spacious and have a bathroom and a living area. The staff is also friendly and provide help as needed.

If you enjoy a hostel this is the place for you but if you are looking for decent hotel them maybe not. The lake stinks of raw sewage, water cut-off in the middle of the shower, flys everywhere, really worn furniture and really not super clean. Food was decent but took too long for drinks to arrive. Staff was friendly and helpful but we should not have needed help for things that should be standard in a basic hotel room. It seemed that day use guests were giving priority over guests actually staying in the hotel. At least 100 of them piled in around 9am and took over the pool area with many screaming children. A huge wedding was going all through the night with loud music. Definitely not a place...
