Aqua Palms Resort Hurghada — Hotel in Gamsha

Our short stay here was an absolute nightmare. Our flights got cancelled so we needed a place to stay for 3 nights as our next flight was due then. It was past midnight when we had reached the accommodation- And I cannot express in words how terrified we all were upon arrival. It was in the middle of nowhere with not-so-great street lighting. The main road was far away in the distance and there was no sign of any human around. There was no security at the front desk allowing anyone and everyone access to the apartments which was mortifying. In simple words we felt unsafe and exposed.

When we were given the room sleeping all 8 of us- The room was filthy, and the hygiene of that place was lacking awfully. From the interior to the furniture to the dirty bathroom and broken shower. We were told that there was a sofa bed that sleeps one person, but that sofa was an absolute state- And I can’t begin to express the foul odour that surrounded the room. We had a feverish child, and this situation did not help at all. The kids were scared and just wanted to get home.

As the accommodation was dirty and unsafe, we decided to speak to the manager and requested to change rooms explaining our disappointment in the room provided to us. But the only room available was on the fifth floor which was on the terrace and at an even worse state as there was no safety up there.

Taking our situation into account, we felt unsafe and vulnerable, so we then decided that we would stay the 1 night and check out first thing in the morning as it was 2 am and the children were shattered and starving due to no shops around us.

Upon cancelling the booking with Aqua palms, we are due to pay the fee of 1 night which is £59.84. So, we then informed the manager in charge of our situation and were assured by him that this would be okay, so he let us go back to our room.

We began to settle down when we were suddenly disrupted by loud banging on the doors frightening us all. It was the manager at the door who then informed us, we could either pay the fee for the full three nights or we would have no choice but to leave the accommodation immediately. We explained everything but for some strange reason he was just not listening to what we had to say, and we received nothing but improper behaviour and grief from the manager.

It was now around 03:00 am and we were absolutely frightened especially being a group with children and no support around us. We were then followed by an employee back to our room so that we could pack our belonging but the treatment we received was awful. We shut the door giving us privacy so that we could get the kids out of bed and complete our packing, however the door was then abruptly open without our consent and reason for this was so that he could intimidate us into hastening our packing- It was terrible and the kids till now are mentally affected by this incident.

I honestly would never recommend this place to anyone- EVERYTHING about it screamed awful. And we received no apologies for the service provided. It...

I STAYED HERE ON A VERY SHORT VISIT TO VIEW AN APARTMENT I AM PURCHASING IN THE ADJACENT AQUA TROPICAL RESORT WHICH IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. FOR OBVIOUS REASONS IT MADE COMMON SENSE TO STAY AT THE PALMS AS THE TROPICAL IS A VERY SIMILAR DESIGN. I SPOKE TO QUITE A NUMBER OF FELLOW OWNERS/GUESTS AND EVERYONE I SPOKE TO APPEARED TO BE VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR PURCHASE/INVESTMENT/STAY. THERE IS CERTAINLY A LOT GOING ON HERE ALL IN A VERY POSITIVE SENSE AND THE ONGOING WORKS AT THE ADJACENT TROPICAL RESORT WERE NOT A NOISE ISSUE AT ALL. I RENTED A STUDIO FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS , HAD A MEETING WITH THE DEVELOPER AND FOUND ALL THE STAFF HERE SO POLITE,KIND AND VERY KEEN TO HELP AND ASSIST WITH ALL ASPECTS OF A TOURIST/INVESTOR IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE STUDIO I RENTED WAS SMALL BUT IDEAL,NEAT,CLEAN AND TIDY WHICH IS ALL THAT MATTERS AND A SPECIAL MENTION FOR HESHAM THE CATERING MANAGER AT THE PALMS WHO SPOKE EXCELLENT ENGLISH AND WAS A PLEASURE TO MEET. INDEED HE TOOK ME OUT WITH HIM INTO THE LOCAL VICINITY AND INTRODUCED ME TO AN EVENING OF LOCAL EGYPTIAN CULTURE THAT COST IN ENGLISH POUNDS VERY VERY LITTLE COMPARED TO AT HOME AND WAS SO REWARDING FROM A CULTURAL POINT OF VIEW IT WAS UNTRUE. EGYPT AT FIRST GLANCE SEEMS AS CHEAP AS CHIPS FOR US BRITS AND WITHOUT DOUBT YOU WILL GET A LOT OF HOLIDAY FOR VERY LITTLE MONEY AND I WOULD LOOK AT PLACES SUCH AS THIS AS YOU WILL SAVE A FORTUNE COMPARED TO THE ALL INCLUSIVE HOTELS WHICH CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY AND ARE POOR VALUE IN MY OPINION. ON MY FIRST DAY HERE THE RESORT HAD JUST ENGAGED A NEW CHEF AND ALL THREE MEALS I HAVE HAD SO FAR HAVE BEEN BEAUTIFULLY COOKED, WELL PRESENTED AND FULL OF FLAVOUR AND I MUST SAY I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE EGYPTIAN BREAKFAST THIS MORNING WHICH CONSISTED OF STUFFED AUBERGINES,EGGS WITH TOMATOES(SLIGHTLY SPICY),A TASTY STEW MADE WITH BEANS AND FALAFEL ALL GARNISHED WITH FRESH TOMATOES AND CUCUMBER-CERTAINLY NOT THE FULL ENGLISH/SCOTTISH BREAKFAST WE ARE ACCUSTOMED TO BUT ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BE TRIED . AS WITH ANY NEW DEVELOPMENT THERE IS ALWAYS A FEW TEETHING ISSUES AND SNAGGING JOBS BUT I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT BE VISITED GOING FORWARD AS WORK APPEARS TO BE ONGOING AT A RAPID RATE OF KNOTS AND THIS CERTAINLY APPEARS TO BE AN UP AND COMING AREA. ALSO LOCATION WISE YOU ARE SITUATED ONLY FIVE MINUTES BY CAR/BUS FROM EL GOUNA WITH BUSES(50pperson one way) RUNNING TWO MINUTES WALK AWAY OUTSIDE THE RESORT AND VERY FREQUENT AT EVERY 10 MINS BETWEEN EL GOUNA AND DOWNTOWN HURGHADA WHICH IS ALSO WORTH EXPLORING AND THE AIRPORT ALSO IS ONLY 15 MINUTES AWAY AND ROUGHLY £6/£10 BY TAXI. IN A NUTSHELL AND ON FIRST IMPRESSIONS THIS RESORT IS CLEAN AND TIDY WITH HELPFUL STAFF AND THE FOOD AND DRINK ARE EXTREMELY INEXPENSIVE BY UK STANDARDS WHERE WE ARE REGULARLY FLEECED WITH SUBSTANDARD PROCESSED RUBBISH.HERE YOU CAN HAVE A LOT OF HOLIDAY FOR LITTLE MONEY AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

I arrived to this resort on the 09.12.23 the apartment was clean but the host doesn’t speak English another host from the resort helped me his name is Aldo I really looked up for him and there is had a girl Manar who came to work for Aldo and Aldo explained how dangerous she could be for his business for this reason I won’t seat with this girl and I told her that I don’t like her and I won’t talk to her so I set at my table this girl manar came to my table and started to provoke me I told her to go away and I used the word sarmuta, cos of this she called the police and was threatening me I am getting arrested for the word sarmuta. I been waiting for the police few hours no body protected me not even Aldo but soon Ronny helped to solve the problem I went to Manar I did apologise and next day Manar and Aldo called Rammy to flip on me but Rammy never flipped or agents me . I came here to solve a problem with a health condition from before and I was traumatised about what happened I couldn’t face anymore for my to do and activity I had nightmares related to the situation Manar wanted to arrest me I had to go to a private hospital spend hundreds of English pound for injections drops and medicine. Before I went to the hospital I told to Aldo I am going to share that this Manar wanted to arrest me for protecting other tourists. Aldo said that’s absolutely fine she does bad for me I need to defend my self. When I mentioned I am not feeling well cos what happened he turned saying I am silly and never looked at me or never even said hi . And a day after the hospital I heard Manar shouting on Rammy saying that she is going to put me and Rammy in prison. Honestly I was very scared what this girl going to make up agents me and agents the person who talks to me. I don’t understand why is wrong I went to the hospital I tried to talk to Aldo why he is so upset but he never spoke to me . I didn’t call the police for my own protection but I had to book a hotel faraway from Aldo and Manar .Honestly who ever goes to this resort be very careful cos the people there exactly like the devil who talks sweeet and at the same time...
