Northern Egypt – our first experience. Before this, we vacationed in Sharm, Hurghada, and Marsa Alam. The biggest highlight here is the sea. It’s an amazingly blue color, and another important advantage – no sharks or other dangerous poisonous creatures like in the Red Sea. This gives a sense of complete safety, peace, and true relaxation. Hotel Cleopatra Sidi Heneish This is a place we want to return to. The hotel is built in a beautiful and modern style. Everything pleases the eye – the buildings and the greenery. Gardeners take care of the territory daily – special thanks to them. The most valuable part – the staff I especially want to thank the HR manager and management, who have gathered a team of amazing employees. Because no matter how beautiful the hotel is, it’s the people who create the service, comfort, and the desire to return. Assistant Manager – Ahmet Foly. His attention to detail, professionalism, and friendliness are felt immediately. It’s clear that it’s truly important for him that guests feel comfortable. Communication with him is always pleasant, he responds quickly and knows how to find solutions. A real leader and role model for the team. I’m sure that people like Ahmet are what build the Cleopatra brand and make guests come back. Senior Supervisor – Tarek is a dedicated professional who provides impeccable service. During settling into the room, he was attentive and resolved requests quickly and efficiently. Always ready to help, he creates a sense of reliability and trust. Staff like Tarek strengthen the hotel’s reputation and make guests want to return. Housekeeping – Saber. Thank you for the cleanliness and order in the room. Always at the highest level. And an extra plus – his smile and friendliness. Lifeguards and Security Special thanks to Mr. Shoeib for organizing the lifeguard team. And especially Alaa Agwa – a true leader, fair mentor, open and kind person. With him, there’s always the feeling that everything is under control and safety is at the highest level. To all lifeguards – huge thanks for their work. Reception and Animation Reception – Ahmed Sharkawy. A person who always looks for a way to help and find solutions. That’s rare. Beach Bar The bartenders at the beach form an excellent, caring team. They are always friendly, attentive, and provide quick, high-quality service that makes every moment at the beach even more enjoyable. A special thank you goes to Reda – his work is simply flawless. He sets a true example of professionalism and delivers service on a level that matches the highest standards. Animation – led by Mido and his team. Well done! Friendly, not intrusive, always ready to chat or invite you to a sports competition. Restaurants and Cuisine All waiters work hard and provide excellent service. But I especially want to note Mohamed Tarek – his level of service and attention to detail is like in a Michelin restaurant. Food and drinks – 10 out of 10. They don’t cut corners on quality and variety here. The food is always delicious and healthy (both for those who want “proper” meals and those who want something indulgent). Rooms Modern, beautiful, with quality furniture and plumbing. Also 10 out of 10. To the Management A big thank you to Mr. Sherif and other leaders for selecting such a team. It’s exactly these people who shape the Cleopatra brand and create the motivation to return and recommend you. Please pay special attention to the employees I’ve highlighted above – they truly deserve bonuses and recognition. To Future Guests Friends, don’t forget to thank the staff not only with words, but also with tips. For us it’s a small gesture, but for them – a sign of respect and real support. Working at this level of service is not easy. Thank you to Amil and Irina for always collecting feedback and keeping order. This gives confidence that here, they truly care about guests. This is a place we will return to for sure, and one that we will gladly recommend to our friends and fellow travelers

Recently I was on holiday in Egypt, the El Alamein - Marsa Matruh area, at the Cleopatra Sidi Heneish hotel. Overall, it was a successful holiday, but let's take them one at a time. The hotel is extraordinarily beautiful, elegant, decorated with great taste, all things of quality, but quite isolated (the nearest town is a 2-hour drive away). The hall at the reception has a seating area with armchairs and sofas, a bar, a jewelry store and a handbag shop. The resort looks great, with many plants, palm trees and exotic flowers. There are 8 buildings with 2 floors each, discreet but chic. There are 4 swimming pools, a SPA centre and a children's playground. The rooms are huge, very clean and decorated with good taste and quality things. The mattresses from the bed are very good, you can sleep very well. There are lamps in all corners of the room and in the bathroom absolutely everything you can need. The mini bar has juices and cold waters. The restaurant is extremely elegant, white sofas and armchairs, impeccable. There are many waiters at your disposal, if you keep your seat at the table, they remember exactly what you want to drink, and immediately serve you juices, coffee and do not let you take two plates to the table. They appear out of nowhere and are extremely attentive and kind. The cutest and cutest waiter was Gamal. Very careful, with common sense and always ready to please. As soon as we sat down, he immediately brought us drinks, coffees, put water in our glasses and immediately cleared the table of empty plates. He deserve all the praise and I would like to know that they also have a bonus based on the review. There are two other restaurants a la cartè, but we didn't have to test them because the food was incredibly good! We had fish, chicken, beef and heavy seafood, cooked on the spot or before, particularly tasty. Fruits and vegetables of all kinds, bread and pastry in all possible forms. The cakes were AMAZING, nowhere did we find such a variety, fresh and very tasty! We didn't get to eat everything, because we couldn't, they were so good. There are many bars: lobbying, restaurant, swimming pools and beach. The drinks are local, quite ok. Very good cocktails, except for the beach bar, where the staff was not so friendly and the drinks made them water. Said, from the last pool, was very good at cocktails, kind, smiling and with a sense of humor. At the lobby bar, Mohamed Adel was the cutest and most attentive waiter. The beach is incredible, very wide and long, with fine sand, turquoise water, very clean, with quite smooth entrance. Two lifeguards were always present between 8:00-19:00! A minus would be the fact that the part through which you could enter was quite limited, because of the existing stones, which I think could be removed somehow. The staff was extremely friendly. There are many employees, wearing different uniforms, depending on the field in which they worked: waiters, gym managers, lifeguards, bartenders, gardeners, plus those at the beach who brought you towels, mattresses for sunbeds. The inner courtyard was full of palm trees, greenery and exotic flowers. I left the coolest thing at the end, I thought it was fantastic that we had both sunrise and sunset, which gave us some fairytale landscapes. A negative aspect it would be the fact that you can' t go out of the resort and the entertaiment part could be improved.

Rooms The rooms were spacious, modern, and matched the standard of the hotel. Hotel & Surroundings The hotel itself is new, with a beautiful complex, lovely gardens, and a well-maintained environment. It’s quite isolated, meaning there’s nowhere else to walk outside the resort – but that didn’t bother us because the hotel area is very large. It has many pools and direct beach access. Service Service is hit or miss. While they do offer poolside service to your sunbed, almost every second time they either forget your order or you wait over an hour – sometimes even up to two hours – and still get nothing. Food The food was very average and definitely not European-style, unlike what we were used to from the JAZ hotel chain in Marsa Matrouh. The cuisine was mainly Egyptian/Arabic, and unfortunately, both I and my entire family ended up with stomach problems that we brought home with us. The food was, honestly, poor. Beach The beach has waves, which we normally enjoy. However, while the beach is about 200 meters wide, only a 10-meter strip is actually accessible for swimming. The rest is underwater rock and completely off-limits – lifeguards will blow their whistles and stop you immediately if you try to enter anywhere else. So imagine the entire resort’s guests packed into a 10-meter entry zone, shoulder to shoulder like sardines, while the rest of the beautiful beach stays empty. This is something guests should be aware of before booking. Hotel Activities – Avoid Matrouh Tours We booked a quad bike trip through Matrouh Tours offered at the hotel, and it was a complete disappointment. First, the reception told us the departure was an hour earlier than it really was. I ended up waiting almost an hour with my young son, just because they prioritized a big Italian group and didn’t inform us of the schedule change. Once we arrived at the location, the quad bikes were extremely old and poorly maintained – ours even broke down during the ride. The whole tour was very short and took us over an unfinished highway. We stopped in a small valley to take a quick photo and then went straight back. We didn’t drive fast, it wasn’t fun, and we were following a car the entire time – meaning the “tour guide” was not on a quad bike. The views were disappointing, the ride was boring, and the whole experience felt like a waste of time. I would honestly give this 1 out of 5 stars. I don’t like to be overly critical, especially because the hotel itself is truly beautiful. However, as described above, there are some serious flaws – particularly when compared to hotels from the JAZ chain, which are located nearby. While the resort has great potential with its stunning design and impressive grounds, the poor service, low-quality food, and frustrating beach access really take away from the overall experience.

Hotel Cleopatra Sidi Heneish

This is a place we want to return to. The hotel is built in a beautiful and modern style. Everything pleases the eye – the buildings and the greenery. Gardeners take care of the territory daily – special thanks to them.

The most valuable part – the staff

I especially want to thank the HR manager and management, who have gathered a team of amazing employees.
