Hotelux La Playa Alamein — Hotel in Matruh

The rooms are acceptable but they have some problems such as the lack of facilities in the rooms and the blackout of the curtains is not good. Some light coming in from the curtains may cause you discomfort when sleeping. There's no WiFI in all rooms (I have never seen it in any hotel before). It wasn't a problem for me but it may be a big problem for some people. There was a problem in the bathroom of my room when I arrived but it was solved. The private beach of the hotel is very good and all the rooms are close to the beach and the view is good and this is the best thing in the hotel. The staff's who were working in reception were very good and friendly(only on reception), but there was some delay in responding to requests. There is also another negative aspect of the hotel and that it is very far away and there are no services near it such as pharmacies,restaurants or a supermarket ,|If you wanna go out, you need to order a car a long time before you leave due to the distance of the place and the security of the area. The security of the place is very bad with Uber or taxi drivers. The waiting period may reach more than an hour for the to make the drive enter there's no reason and i don't know why they making the cars waiting all this time (this is the worst thing in the hotel), caused me a lot of delay. It's very easy for the hotel to put a small bus or a golf car to service the guests and take them outside the hotel area or make it easy to access Uber and taxis||It will be a good hotel for a short stay vacation, but not for a long stay. It needs some some attention and care, simple things but important and it come be a great hotel , such as but Wi-Fi in the rooms and they need to have a golf car very simple stuff...

· The hotel was really far behind any expectations. we have booked a triple room on booking which they don't have in the hotel so they said they will upgrade it to a suite for free instead. Upon checking in the suite the bathroom was a horrible sight. with paint stains on wall, sink and everything it was not clean at all let alone the finishing of it was far from any 2 stars hotel. AC was not working, phone was not working and TV was not working as well. they use a play TV that relies on internet while there was no internet. there was no wifi and no 3G coverage nor mobile coverage. all the electric sockets were not compatible with middle standard plugs. the room had a kettle but the plug didn't match the sockets when i called them they said they would bring me a connector. when slept at night only to wake up at dawn from the light. there was no blackout!! in the morning we asked them to change the room and we went to a double room which was very small to us but the bathroom was cleaner and the window was smaller so the light was not that strong. breakfast was just okay with no consistency. staff is not oriented with hotel services. hotel was very expensive to be like this and definitely no value for money. beach was not clean and pool was just okay. Finally, i am spending on average of 60 nights per year in different countries/hotels for business/leisure and this considered as the worth experience ever. i would...

Worst experience ever!!! I booked a room via booking. Stayed there for 3 nights last month. I don’t understand how this hotel is 4 stars on booking. I would give it 2 just for the beach! Rooms not clean, bathrooms are rusted. The whole hotel doesn’t meet any hygiene standards. The sea is amazing but the beach is not clean. Full of cigarettes and waste. I couldn’t eat anything at breakfast, food is not fresh. Very limited options. You couldn’t tell who the waiters were. There is no uniform or name tags? Just random guys with dirty clothes coming to serve your table!! The pool is very small and not clean! And the worst thing i witnessed while sitting by the pool is the pool kitchen! Oh my god!! The chef is standing there smoking a cigarette with one hand and at the same time making the pizza with his other hand! Other guy there is cooling himself with a water faucet placed in the middle of the kitchen! Zero hygiene. No matter how hungry my kids were would never thought of ordering this food for them!! Last day for us was a Friday, many people came for a day use, we couldn’t find a single chair on the beach! It was so crowded! Also everybody working there is staring at the guests which made us so uncomfortable I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish some major brand buys it and turn it into a nice hotel with international standards because the beach and location are amazing!...
