Le Royal Hotel Marina — Hotel in Matruh

Horrible, outdated hotel, I wonder how they can still operate.... It started with bad communication even before finalising the booking, they answered NO questions until it was not fully paid. Even after payment short and basic information was provided - entrance code sent at 01:00 at night. At arrival (we booked 3 villas) reception told us there are no 3 units next to each other as requested (many times) and 2 villas are other category (lower) - street view (more specific NO VIEW, small windows which can not be opened because you can not close after.....). In our confirmation all the 3 villas were SAME CATEGORY (two bedroom villa). But this was not the main problem.... When we opened the door an insupportable smell was shocking us (we were hoping that if we open all the windows, then it will help... was NOT...) The worst nightmare was the bathroom: small, you can not even sit on the WC, because there is no space for your legs. Wall was full with stains (I even do not want to know from  were it came the brown stain next to the wc's wall..... Bulb was missing from the bathroom, shower was extremely small and the door opened to the inside of the shower, so not even a kid could enter. Rooms: room with matrimonial bed that small, that we could not enter with the luggage to the closet. Maybe if you climb through the bed you can use the closet. The villa with lake view had a backyard with burnt grass and inclusive a death bird... The lake view villas were separated by a low cost plastic fence, from which lots of nails made it super dangerous.   We asked very politely to find a solution to refund the second night, because we will leave, but the manager did not even have the courtesy to talk to us on the phone, and did not show up ever, even though we requested many times. They do not care about the guests, they just care about our money. To be more specific, how much they care about the money: a pant with money in the pocket just "disappeared" from a villa, when we were at the "beach". Beach service: extremely far (8 min by car), a dirty beach with unexistable service ..Breakfast: continental breakfast served on a plate - uneatable. Let the pictures talk about the rest... FORGET this accommodation, should be reported to the tourism...

I spent two wonderful days with my family, and it was an excellent experience. The atmosphere is very calm and safe, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The service was great, and the rooms were very comfortable. The receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Abdallah, who went above and beyond to assist us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the North Coast – it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy quality time...

الي يفكر يستأجر عندهم تعال وخذ كل المعلومات:

١- الموقع ممتاز جداً للعوائل بعيد عن تجمعات الشباب. ٢- الفندق لهم شاطئ خاص فيهم ولكن اكثر شي اعجبني الشاطئ المجاني الي جنب الفندق انظف واجمل واقل ناس لكن خذ معك مظلة! وفيه اسطبل خيول راح تعيش احلى ايامك. (صورة مرفقة للشاطئ) ٣- المارينا عموماً البقالات والاسواق والمطاعم الي فيها تكون عند البوابات (للي يقول مافيه خدمات) ٤- المسبح عليه مراقب على مدار الساعة ينفع جداً للي معاه اطفال. ٥- الغرف جميلة ونظيفة والمنتجع ١٠/١٠ بشكل عام. ٦- الموظفين قمة بالاحتراف وهادين ومايزعجون النزلاء في عرض الخدمات لكن مجرد ماتحتاج خدمة تحصل الشباب عندك. ٧- حراسة ع البوابة على مدار الساعة. ٨- فيه مطعم لبناني اسمه بيت ورد يبعد ٣ دقايق مشي غالي شويتين بس جلساته ع البحر وحلوة. ٩- الكافتريا الي جوا المنتجع عليها ملاحظات من ناحية السعر واضافة بعض البنود ع الفاتورة زي بند الخدمة حتى لو كان بيبسي بس يحط لك ١٠ جنية خدمة ، لكن فيه بديل الي هم الاسواق الي ع البوابات فيها كل شي. ١٠- فيه شاطئ نسائي (للنساء فقط) يبعد ٥ دقايق بالسيارة ودخوله مجاني للي تبع الفندق. ١١- النشاطات المائية تروح لها في اوبر (منتشر كثير جوا المارينا) بمسافات ٥ الى ١٠ دقايق وبتكلفة اقل من ١٠٠ جنية للمشوار وبالنسبة لي هذا ما يميز الفندق لانه بعيد عن التجمعات وبالتالي بعيد عن الاوساخ والمخلفات.

وفي الاخير اشكر جميع طاقم الفندق على الرقي ، عملتوا انطباع جديد في التعامل مغاير للصورة...
