I recently enjoyed an absolutely wonderful three-night stay at Rixos Sidi Abd El Rahman, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the incredibly professional and friendly staff, who made us feel welcome and at home. A special shoutout goes to Madonna Nasser at the front desk for her warm and efficient service, Madonna George from guest relations who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and Amira or Amina from the animation team, whose energy and enthusiasm kept everyone entertained and engaged specially our 3 year old toddler . These individuals truly made our stay exceptional.

The quality and variety of food were outstanding. Every meal was a culinary delight, with generous portions and a fantastic range of options that catered to all tastes. We particularly enjoyed the dining experiences at the main restaurant and the “Othman” restaurant, where the Turkish cuisine was not only delicious but also beautifully presented.

The amenities at the hotel were top-notch. There are three large pools for adults, providing plenty of space to relax and unwind. The kids' pool was a perfect and safe spot for our three-year-old son to splash around and have fun without us needing to be in the pool with him constantly. The kids' club was another highlight, offering a great variety of age-appropriate games and activities that kept our son and his cousin entertained and happy.

Every single member of the Rixos Sidi Abd El Rahman team demonstrated exceptional hospitality. Their attention to detail in both service and design was evident throughout our stay. The espresso-based drinks could use a bit of refinement, and the food quality at the snack bar “People’s” was not quite on par with the main restaurant or the “Othman” restaurant. Addressing these small areas would elevate the experience even further.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Rixos property. As a loyal Diamond member with past positive experiences at Rixos Istanbul, Bodrum, Antalya and Dubai, my family and I had high expectations for our most recent stay. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below our expectations.

During our five-night stay, the air conditioning in our room was not working, leading to uncomfortable and restless nights. The only gesture of apology was a dessert and a letter, which did not address the discomfort we faced due to the lack of proper cooling in the room. The lack of proper cooling also led to the sheets in our room developing a musty smell of humidity, which added to our discomfort during our stay.

Moreover, despite booking rooms with a sea view and paying extra for this feature, we were provided with a garden view room and informed that the property does not have sea view rooms. This discrepancy between the booking options and the actual room allocation was disappointing and misleading.

Additionally, the all-inclusive package did not live up to its promises, particularly at the beach where the food options were limited to drinks and a fruit platter for cabana guests only. This restricted offering was not in line with the expectations we had based on previous experiences at other Rixos properties.

The service we encountered was slow and lacking, with instances such as plates being cleared from the table without permission and a delay in attending to maintenance issues like a faulty fridge. These service shortcomings detracted from the overall experience and left us feeling neglected as guests.

Furthermore, the quality of the buffet, a highlight of the vacation experience, was disappointing in terms of variety and taste. The food fell below the high standards we have come to associate with the Rixos brand, diminishing the enjoyment of our meals during the stay.

Lastly, the delay in room readiness during check-in, where we had to wait until 4:30 pm to access our rooms despite the standard check-in time of 2 pm, added to the series of frustrations we encountered during our stay.
