The absolute opposite of what I read and heard about the hotel. First the staff and professionalism, there are very few staff for the size of the hotel, and at the reception during check in there was only one receptionist doing all the work and checking in multiple people at the same time. During the week stay at the hotel, they were only 2 receptionist I saw during the time who aren’t enough to handle the load in busy times. As for the housekeeping only one housekeeper is responsible for an entire floor of about 50 rooms approximately, it takes him a lot of time to go through the rooms, at times I went to breakfast and the pool and return see the room unclean. As for the professionalism of the staff they are untrained at all, for a 4 star hotel this was a shock, from the reception to housekeeping, to the restaurant staff and cafe lounge staff and security as well.
Firstly, as there are two safirs hotels that are right next to each other, when we first entered the hotel we asked a young man in the security uniform to make sure we were at the correct place he was playing a game on his phone and just stared to me with no response and didn’t know what building he was apparently working for. The housekeeping are instructed to do surface cleaning, it’s not their fault but they’re not instructed by the administration to clean properly the rooms. They just get in make the beds, remove trash, refill the freebies, and replace the towels other than that I had to ask them to change sheets, wipe the floor, and do the bathroom properly. They’re very young men and untrained, and during the whole stay I only saw the same three housekeeping staff. At the cafe the staff aren’t trained to make drinks requested, just simple set menu, and I asked them for an ice caramel latte and the response was there was no caramel in this entire hotel.
I’m not complaining about the staff personally but about the administration that did not train them to an adequate degree and standard of a 4 star hotel.
Other notable mentions are about how the service and wifi is bad at the hotel, I one time called to ask the reception for wifi password again and I got met with the reply of “there is no wifi”.
Staff is uncoordinated with each other, multiple times during the stay in several days I asked the reception to call housekeeping for the room because they were late, I had to call the reception 3 TIMES for them finally to send housekeeping.
The bed sheets, pillow covers and mattresses aren’t clean, when they were changed at the beginning of the stay we noticed later that day when we first used the beds there was spots on them, mysterious long hair stuck on the sheets that dosent belong to us. It was un clean and disgusting had to call housekeeping at the night to change the sheets, the guy spent a full 30 minutes changing them as some of the stuff he was coming with also had hair on and not clean.
For the all inclusive THAT WE CANCELLED after two days, there is absolutely no variety in the food offered, it’s almost the same everyday and little to pick from. Even the quality wasn’t the best just acceptable. Food was cold, sometimes rice was dry after being out. In addition to that the all inclusive dosent include free drinks or snacks, all extra drinks or snacks wanted outside of the meal times are extra charge, even during the meal times the drinks variety available is bad, also to mention the “orange” juice they were putting every day was “tank” orange powder juice…
For the price of the hotel it’s not worth it at all! Very...
Read moreIn this review I will be giving a honest, in depth review in different categories such as the resort itself, food, staff and beach/activities. Firstly the resort. The resort itself is outstanding. It exceeded my expectations by miles. The rooms are extremely clean, give towels, water and have a mini fridge for you to store your own food. They also have a mini tea section for you to drink some tea and Nescafé in the morning. Every morning, they cleaned my room after I finished eating. Overall, I will give the resort itself a 5/5. Secondly I will be talking about the food. The food is really crucial when it comes to taking vacations. Generally the food is good but not the best. It isn’t the best in terms of variety and different food choices. The food itself tasted pretty good but some stuff wasn’t that good. Everyday they change the buffet food. Another thing I would like to add is that the breakfast starts at 7AM and ends at 10AM which in my opinion is bad since some people sleep even past 10 so you can possibly miss the breakfast. Also the dinner starts at 7PM and ends at 10PM. So overall, I would give the food a 4/5. Thirdly, I will be talking about its location and beach activities. Firstly, the beach isn’t the Mediterranean beach, it’s in a bay. If your a person that enjoys loud waves and excitement then this beach isn’t the best for you. On the other hand if your a person that enjoys a calm relaxing beach with little to no waves, then this is for you. Although I would like to point out if you do want a beach with large waves, you would have to cross the other side if the street to get to the Mediterranean beach. The one good thing that helped me with this boring calm bay was water activities. At night, they usually have people showing off talents such as dancing, tricks and much more. There are countless amount of activities that I did with good prices. So overall I will give the beach/location/activities a 4/5. Lastly I want to talk about the staff. First I want to say I’ve seen many reviews about them being unprofessional and rude, but I want to say something. The staff there are probably the best staff I’ve ever seen in a hotel. They literally made me feel like I was VIP even though I’m not. They welcome you in the morning, they always tell you how thankful they are for having you, literally make you feel like a celebrity. Only one thing though, when I arrived it took about 45 minutes for them to give us the keys, but that has to do with them cleaning the rooms. So overall, I will give the service a 5/5. So overall I will give this Reosrt a solid 4/5. Extremely clean, nice staff, good food and lots of activities in the beach. If you are looking for a nice calm and friendly resort, then Safir is your...

I was a bit worried about the quality of a 4-star hotel, but this place positively surprised me. The hotel staff are amazing – from reception and restaurant teams to lifeguards and bartenders. Very friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Service here is honestly better than in some 5-star hotels in Hurghada. Special mention to the ladies in light blue blazers – great professionalism and hotel image.
Our first room was a bit noisy due to corridor air conditioning, but after asking at reception we were moved to a quiet room with the same sea view the same day. Room was clean, serviced daily, and towels were always fresh. The only minus is the bathroom – in need of renovation and our shower tray was leaking. Also, room doors close loudly, so it can get noisy at night during high occupancy. Wi-Fi was available but very slow, especially in the rooms.
Food was good quality and tasty, especially fish and soups. Breakfast could be more varied (only omelettes made to order), but lunch and dinner were much better. Drinks and juices were decent and served from bottles or cartons, not machines.
Bar and pool area – beach bar open until 10 PM and indoor bar until midnight. Bartenders were great. It would be nice to have a drink menu at the beach bar and at least a few pool bar hours. Animation was weak and only in the evenings (3 people dancing), but maybe that was because of the end of the season.
The beach was clean and comfortable. Sometimes trash washed ashore with the wind but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Shame the palm trees near the beach were cut down. I would also suggest a hotel shuttle to Cleopatra Beach (even paid), because walking there means you constantly get approached by people on the street.
Overall: a peaceful hotel with beautiful views and great staff. Perfect if you want to relax away from the city. Nothing around the hotel (no shops/restaurants nearby), but if you’re looking for calm – this is a...
