This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. No one here to help with any thing, had to call multiple times to get our room water pressure problem solved, had to wait for more than 1 hour, then we wake up just to walk around and try to find someone to serve us breakfast when we were already told yesterday (by the staff) that it would be serve at 8.30am, we woke up early to have to 1.not only not see no breakfast set up, but 2.have to, once again call more than 3 times 2 different numbers (as the booking contact is different from Google maps but neither actually work well) and 3. Had to wait for more than 30 minutes, not even water/coffee was served while waiting.... They guarantee us that the next day the breakfast would be served at 8.30am. Surprise, surprise, until 8.50 going around trying to find someone... Finally after calling 10 times they pick up and 10 minutes later that was someone here that didn't say good morning, didn't apologize (we speak arabic) , neither did it even look at us... The surprising think is the lack of consideration for the guest (we are the only ones here, so if feel like it wasn't worth it for them to put any staff here) and their capacity to fully run away from any responsability for what happen. Not worth 94USD for 2 adults 2 nights... P. S- the pool photos speak...
Read moreHats off to an amazing serene experience in this ecofriendly hotel! I never expected my first getaway to siwa to be such a memorable experienc! The hotel is furnished as an ecolodge, resembling the Siwan cultural style. All your needs are available provided that you leave away all the "extras" that we found out that we can do without! Besides,I never believed the crude crystal salt does really cast away all the negativity until i tried it myself! Salt is really everywhere at Aghurmi hotel(just behind your pillow),which really leaves u only with a relaxed smile on your face. Not to mention the staff; they are super friendly(Mr Mahmoud in particular and young Saleh as well). They make u feel at home and provide you with whatever arrangements for all your activities ,at the best prices. They do leave an impression and give an amazing example of the unique Siwan combination of culture, simplicity, kindness and hospitality! That experience at Aghurmi hotel was really one...
Read moreThe place is a dump! The hotel is run down. It is nothing like the pictures or their instagram page. Rooms are dark, stuffy, and horrendous. Bathrooms are poorly lit and beyond dirty. Beds are uncomfortable, and barb wire is softer than the blankets they supply!!! Everything is dirty. The pool is a hazad. And there is nowhere to chill by the pool. There was no network OR internet during our stay. The tours they offer are below average, not well organized, and a rip-off. This dump has not seen maintenance for years. The water heater fell on one of our friends, which led to serious injuries. She couldn't walk for the rest of the trip. Tap water tastes like salt and rust. We had to use bottled water to wash and brush our teeth. We were excited to visit Siwa, and this hotel turned our stay into a nightmare!! We were all happy to finally...
