🌴 Honest Review of Bliss Nada Resort, Marsa Alam, Egypt 🇪🇬

I recently stayed at Bliss Nada Resort, and while the property has several impressive features, there are also a few areas where significant improvements are needed. Here’s a comprehensive review based on my experience:

✅ Positives: Stunning Beachfront Location: The resort boasts a vast, clean, and beautiful beach, ideal for long walks, relaxing, or water activities. It’s one of the best features of the property. Well-Planned Infrastructure: The architectural layout and facilities are thoughtfully designed. The property is visually appealing and well-maintained in terms of structure. Outstanding Animation Team: The entertainment crew deserves huge appreciation. From fire shows by Mickey to glass performances by Fakir, the entire animation team works tirelessly over 12 hours a day, keeping guests entertained with enthusiasm and professionalism. This is truly one of the highlights of the resort. Delicious Food Options: The meals served are flavorful, and the kitchen consistently provides a wide variety of sweet dishes and desserts. The dining experience is generally satisfying.

⸻

❌ Areas Needing Serious Improvement: Virtually No Internet Access: There is no working Wi-Fi across the property. Even in the reception and lounge area—where internet is supposedly available—the connection is so weak it’s nearly impossible to load a single page. For international guests, this is a critical issue, especially for those who need connectivity for work or family contact. Poor Ventilation in Reception/Lobby: The lack of air conditioning or fans in the lobby and reception area makes it extremely uncomfortable, especially in hot and humid conditions. Guests are often seen waving paper fans just to cool down—a basic amenity like proper ventilation must be addressed immediately. Additional Expense for Internet: As there’s no proper resort-provided internet, guests are forced to buy local SIM/data packages. A 12GB connection for 10 days costs around $30 or €30. Housekeeping Attitude & Tip Culture: The housekeeping staff can be unfriendly or even rude. In my case, I was questioned for reporting a cleanliness issue to reception. There is also a clear expectation for tips, which is not a problem when service is provided with respect—but guests should never feel pressured. Subpar Gym Facilities: The gym is open-air with only curtain walls, no air conditioning, and exposed to high outdoor temperatures, making workouts nearly impossible during the day. It’s more of a symbolic gym than a functional one. Uncomfortable Indoor Game Area: The Table Tennis and Billiards zones are situated in hot, poorly ventilated areas with no fans or AC, making them unusable during daytime. Playing for even 15 minutes leaves guests sweating and exhausted—not exactly a relaxing holiday vibe.

⸻

💬 Final Thoughts:

Bliss Nada Resort has a lot of potential. The beach, food, and dedicated animation team are commendable. However, the lack of basic amenities like internet, AC in public areas, and courteous housekeeping severely impact the overall guest experience.

This review is written with the hope that management takes feedback seriously and makes much-needed improvements. The hard-working staff and performers deserve a facility that matches their efforts. With a few changes, this resort could truly become a top-tier destination in Marsa Alam.

⭐ Overall Rating: 3.2/5 (5/5 for animation & beach, 2/5 for facilities &...

We blind-booked this hotel via an agency starting October 2023. Followed the reviews, and photos all the time by the moment we arrived, and, here's the detailed review after a 7-day holiday for a couple 32/25 y.o.

Location The location is one of the best in the region. Great reefs, sand beach, between 1-3 minutes to walk until you touch the see.

Staff Very warm and welcoming, helping with everything you need. Polite and speak/understand 3-5 languages as the majority of tourists are from Germany/Poland/Czech Republic. Cleaning happens every day before midday, bottled water every day.

Rooms Above average but it could need some renovations - especially the air conditioning systems, and room furniture. In our case the locker didn't work as it should, and also the vault was broke.

Food Wider than average selection with focus on chicken and fish on the protein side. Vegetables - lots and plenty. Fruits - watermelon and oranges. Maybe, in different periods of the year they serve different types of food, but really, nothing to complain, personally.

What you should be aware of: For natural coffee/turkish coffee you have to pay extra 50 EGP/unit (beaware coffee-addicted friends) For Icecream - they also charge you. 100 EGP/unit (however tasty enough) It doesn't depend on the hotel staff or so, but the souvenir shops don't display their prices, and they decide the price after they ask you where you're from Trips/excursions aren't too expensive. But, again, it may be calculated based on where you're from. No prices on display for that too.

What I liked the most: The huge amount of experiences this location has to offer. The Zero Animation Team - great shows, try really hard to make guests feel happy, active and entertained. Amazing job! Staff - really polite staff, also friendly. Don't be afraid to talk to them or chat about everything with them. Beach - well-taken-care-of beach. Even though the umbrelas are a bit old, I still enjoyed it. Honor and exclusivity - when it comes to snorkeling and diving, there are people from other hotels coming to Bliss Nada to dive. Appreciate that, the managers don't allow strangers (regardless of their country of origin) to dive, snorkel at the hotel. This is a privilege exclusively for those who stay at Bliss Nada, and should stay this way.

Overall rating - 5*. But the staff and location play at least 60% role for...

We stayed in this resort for 15 Days ( june ) This is a good stay if you want value for you money & spend most of your holiday relaxing! overal we realy enjoyed it, but there's some things you need to keep in mind!

Beach/Sea Right next to your hotel! +Beautifull corals & platform you can use to get in the sea, without stepping on all the corals!

Location: Its only 30 minute's away from the airport ( RMF ) Nothing around the resort, there are no shops , restaurants or other things close.

Service: There's animation everyday, you can do Yoga, Dance Lessions, Free try with Diving Enquipment, Waterpolo ect. Staff is verry friendly, specialy when you give a small tip, they will help you with everything!

Food: Everything is made Fresh & in front of you! Good variation between the days/weeks ( But you have to like chicken! ) There's realy tasty food, but allot of the times, its just not long enough, Example, Pancake's in the morning, tastes great, but when we went for a 2nd one, they where near raw, and un-eatable This also happends with other Fried Food, somethimes they are amazing, but allot of the times, it was just not done well ( at bussy moments )

Room: Good working Airco on the room! The room was cleaned everyday, and also big enough! We only had 1 working outlet to charge your device's

Wifi: -There is free wifi in the lobby, But its just enough to sned & recieve message's , Sending a video is almost impossible, the quality is verry low ( to much people on the same network ) No WiFi On the room, Only when you pay extra

Hotel-Shop Hamid is realy friendly! and offerd us fair price's for the things he sells, but on other days, they sell you the same items for a different price, we paid 2,- for a icetea. and the next day he asked 4,- Not much option to choose, its a realy small shop.

Extra Info:

We had 13 amazing days! but the last 2 days, there was a big mosqito invasion! when you came out of the pool, there where 100's of bugs on your towel, The hotel uses some kind of Smoke every evening ( see picture ) We were lucky it was only 2 days. but during these days, there was almost no people outside!

Also there's a Small Medical Shop infront of the hotel BEWARE Verry Verry Expensive, but you have no other option, Example 10 Tampons for 20,- CRAZY! Make sure you bring enough , so you dont have to buy...

I was there with my girfriend. Personnel was very nice and kind but there were some communication issues. Some of the staff can't speak english so you have to wait for someone who understands you. The best english speakers there were the animators that were very nice too. Another problem that was bothering me were employees of other businesses (massages, camel riding, trips etc.) who were walking along the beach or around the pool and were trying to sell you their product. They understand many languages on a certain level (basic words, phrases and description of their business) although their english is so so. If you try to deny them their will not leave you so easily - they try to (I would say) force their product to you and sometimes it costs you ten or fifteen minutes to drive them off. Beach is goog but the sea is very shallow due to the coral reef. You can use a mole to access the "deep sea" where one can swim. There you can rent goggles for snorchling. The lifeguard on the mole is absolitely useless because he just watches people not to get too far (which means like 5 metres away to the sides) or he's chatting with his friends. But he doesn't deal with people sitting on the very narrow stairs to the sea. So gettig out of the sea is even more uncomfortable due to big waves. Food is very good with enough options but of course you won't find a pork meat here. Another problem was location. There is no town or village somewhere close to it so there's no option for evening walks between some historical buildings. Although for some people this can be positive because it's very peaceful place. We had minor problems with drinks. They pour everything into a plastic cup. It's like 0,1 l so it's very very small and very uncomfy to carry around. Stability in the wind is non existent and you have to run for a soda (or whatever you want to drink) every five minutes. And they use it even for dinner. Every evening there was an event in their own amphitheater or in the hotel garden. I must recommend it. Pool is also very nice with one toboggan and one (resp. four) slides. So if you like to lie next to the pool or on the beach and you're not into walking around the towns it's a good hotel for you.
