My family & I have just returned from an 11 day holiday at Jaz Soma Beach. I have to say that first impressions of the food weren't very good and I was ill within a few days closely followed by my wife being ill. The food didn't look very appetising and there was very little choice for our two children. However, we were approached by one of the customer service staff called Christine Maher. She was absolutely amazing!! When I told her about our illness and our disappointment with the food she immediately contacted the chef, 'Ahmed Sayed Nasr Mohamed'. From that moment Ahmed went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had the best food options available. He cooked some of the most amazing meals for us and came to find us every day to make sure we were ok. Ahmed Sayed Nasr Mohamed is the most amazing chef and a genuinely lovely man! A second chef called Mostafa Ahmed Abd El Sadek was equally as helpful and hard working. He spoke to us daily and made special soups and foods to try and help with our upset stomachs. Again, it's people like him that made our holiday so special. He came to see us on our last day to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed for our journey home. Christine also came to see us daily, she was always very cheerful, smiling and very helpful. Christine worked very hard to make sure we had the best holiday possible and we would like to thank her for all her hard work and caring nature. The staff are what made our stay at Jaz Soma Beach so special. 'Shaaban' who works round the pool was truly amazing, always happy, singing and smiling. He worked extremely hard to make sure we had everything we needed and made our time spent round the pool very enjoyable. He has a great sense of humour and never failed to make us laugh. Our evenings were mainly spent in the resort as we couldn't go very far, we met a lovely member of staff called 'Sheema'. Although very limited English, she always met us with a cheerful smile and worked hard to make sure we were never without a drink. The resort itself was always kept very clean and the grounds were superb. The maintenance staff and gardeners worked tirelessly to keep everything clean and tidy. We found the beach to be very small and cramped. The sunbeds were very close together and it all seemed a bit to claustrophobic. It was always very busy and crammed with people so we tended to avoid it. The pool area was very clean and the pools lovely, there were absolutely no sunbed wars which was great to see. There were still some who put their towels out in a morning and then vanished until the afternoon which be better monitored but there always seemed to be plenty of sunbeds anyway. The rooms were very spacious and the cleaning staff were brilliant. The mini bar isn't included in the all inclusive package so just be aware of that. There were fresh bottles of water put in the fridge every day, fresh towels and they even changed the beach towels everyday. It was my wifes 50th Birthday while we were at Jaz Soma Beach and the staff worked extremely hard to make it an extra special day. They decorated the room for her and Chef Ahmed made her a special birthday cake! There are a number of shops near the pool area, the Minimarket is great and stocks a good variety of things and although a little expensive it's still a lot cheaper than the minibar! Stay clear of the other shops though!! They are all extremely expensive and the staff can be very intimidating, persistent and forceful! We were even locked in one of the shops and then another door locked when we tried to leave. Just be aware! We had an amazing stay at Jaz Soma, it's a fantastic resort with great facilities but what really made it for us were the staff like Christine, Chef Ahmed, Chef Mustafa,...

Just returned from a two week holiday and we were thoroughly disappointed with our holiday. |We had visited Hurghada previously staying at a different hotel but decided to book the Jaz Soma Beach after reading the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor.||The hotel is a little tired in places but our room was a good size.|The staff were in the majority lovely and were eager to please.|We didn’t use the pool area as we prefer to be on the beach. You need to reserve your sun beds pretty early if you want to spend some time on the beach. It gets very crowded and people are jostling for space and shade. The beach itself is very nice with a gentle slope into the water. The entertainment team work hard but it can be quite annoying when you’re just trying to relax and read and they are traipsing up and down whilst shouting and playing musical instruments in an attempt to get you to join in with the next activity.|Now, the food and drink. The mini bar in the room is not included in your all inclusive package, such a shame and a good indicator of the type of hotel this is. |The drinks are terrible, the worst we have experienced in any all inclusive hotel. Obviously they are using Egyptian spirits but the strength and flavours were so disappointing. We worked our way through the cocktail list and the drinks were hard to identify what they were meant to be. The wine is very average and was often served warm. |The food unfortunately was of a similarly low standard. The best meal of the day we found to be breakfast with a reasonable selection of food and the chefs making you fresh omelettes or fried eggs etc.|The food in both the main restaurant and the beach restaurant is well below par. The food was lacking in both quality and flavour. I was served uncooked chicken on one occasion at the beach restaurant and there were some extremely unprofessional food hygiene issues too. On several occasions the staff were cooking raw meat on the hot griddle whilst there was still cooked meat on the same surface. This is in full view of the diners and we couldn’t quite believe our eyes. My girlfriend fell very ill within a few days of arriving and I strongly believe it could be due to their lack of good food hygiene procedures. Other notable food tales included a dish labelled ‘Indian potatoes’ which turned out to be sliced potatoes in a tomato based pasta sauce!|We tried the Italian Ala carte restaurant which was so disappointing. My girlfriend’s risotto was cooked within an inch of its life and had zero flavour. My pizza was undercooked and had been made with a tasteless cheese topping and no tomato and herb base sauce. |We walked out of the restaurant leaving our uneaten meals and retreated to a bar for a drink. A staff member followed us out and asked us to fill out a survey on the restaurant, which we did and it was an honest assessment of what we had just been served. Within minutes the chefs are out apologetic for what we just experienced and asking us to come back another night, we politely declined. After filling out another customer feedback form later in the week we were visited by the head chef who insisted on cooking personally for us each night. We did notice that he was cooking meals for quite a few guests that obviously had given similar unhappy feedback about the food.|We don’t consider ourselves to be big ‘foodies’ but we enjoy our food and drink and know what they should taste like. This hotel has a lot of work to bring its food and beverages up to an acceptable standard for a supposedly four star rating from TUI. |Unfortunately we won’t be returning to this hotel or Egypt again as the experience has been a very...

My recent 7-day stay at Jaz Soma Beach in Hurghada was nothing short of perfection. While the weather was fantastic, and the trip to Luxor offered a fascinating dive into Egypt’s rich history, the highlight of the vacation was, without a doubt, the hotel itself.

Jaz Soma Beach offers everything you could wish for in an all-inclusive resort. With four incredible restaurants and six well-stocked bars, including a relaxing pool bar, you’ll never run out of delicious food or refreshing drinks. From early morning (7:00 a.m.) until late evening (9:30 p.m.), there’s always something delightful to enjoy. For added convenience, there’s also a 24-hour bar near the reception, where you can indulge in a variety of drinks at any time. The food selection was amazing, offering a wide variety of cuisines that cater to all tastes, while the drinks menu was equally diverse and satisfying. The resort also features a beautiful private beach with crystal-clear waters, two pool areas (one of which is heated), and a dedicated kids' pool. Additional amenities include a massage spa and beauty salon, a shisha bar, a kids’ house (perfect for parents needing some downtime), pool tables, and countless other activities to keep guests entertained throughout the day. Whether you’re looking to unwind, sunbathe, or enjoy some quality time with family or friends, this hotel ticks every box.

What truly sets Jaz Soma Beach apart, however, is the incredible staff. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but none have come close to the level of care, warmth, and dedication I experienced here. From the moment I booked my stay, the staff reached out to ensure everything was in place for a seamless arrival. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with smiles and genuine hospitality that lasted throughout my stay. Every single staff member—whether at the bar, restaurants, lobby, beach, pool, or housekeeping—went above and beyond to make guests feel special. Their proactive approach, friendly conversations, and eagerness to assist created an unforgettable experience.

Special Thanks: A heartfelt thank you goes to Messouda, the manager and our single point of contact during the stay. Words cannot fully capture how grateful my brother and I are for her incredible efforts to make our stay exceptional. She went above and beyond, adding thoughtful touches that made a lasting impression. Messouda, you are a gem, and because of you, we can’t wait to return to this amazing hotel! Another special mention goes to the animation team—Enzo, Jako, and Scooby. These three were phenomenal, always stopping by for a friendly chat, inviting us to activities and trips, and offering great advice about the local area. Their energy and enthusiasm added so much fun to our stay. At the restaurant, the team was equally outstanding. A special thanks to Shaker and Chef Moestapha, who not only ensured the food was impeccable but also took the time to personally connect with us, making the dining experience feel even more special.

Jaz Soma Beach is a hotel that leaves an indelible mark on its guests. From the facilities to the unparalleled service, everything about this resort is designed to provide a perfect holiday experience. To anyone considering a trip to Hurghada, look no further—this is the place to stay. My brother and I are already planning our next visit, and we can’t wait to experience the magic of Jaz Soma Beach...

I usually stay at a hotel located north of Jaz Soma Beach, which is closer to Surfmotion — my primary reason for visiting Egypt, as I come for windsurfing. As a solo traveler, I found Jaz Soma Beach to be less suitable for single guests. Regarding the food, it largely depends on what one is accustomed to. Having visited Egypt regularly since 1992, I found the overall food quality to be below my expectations, and the service somewhat inconsistent on a daily basis. The beverage selection was also disappointing. Only local Egyptian drinks were available, despite the menu listing international options such as Jack Daniel’s whiskey and other imported spirits — which I would have gladly paid extra for. I did raise a few issues with hotel management concerning the experience of solo travelers, and I appreciate that some of these concerns were addressed during my stay. Another drawback was the strict hotel policies regarding guest access. Friends staying at nearby hotels and I found it impossible to visit one another for dinner due to excessive red tape. Additionally, guests are not permitted to walk freely along the beach beyond their own hotel’s designated area — security staff from neighboring resorts would stop and question anyone attempting to do so, which felt unnecessarily restrictive. On a positive note, the housekeeping team did an excellent job maintaining the room and provided creative daily towel displays, which were a nice touch. Overall, Jaz Soma Beach is a clean, family-oriented resort, and the entertainment and atmosphere reflect that focus. However, for solo travelers or those seeking more flexibility and a livelier environment, it may not be the most suitable choice.

This is a very nice resort with amazing service and food from very good to super delicious. Its amazing for families with kids, but we as a couple also manage to have our nice time. It is not premium resort as I maybe expected, but the service is one of the best I have ever had. Beach is well located in the middle of small bay, with a huge plus of not too shellow sea but rather very good for swimming and snorkling ‐ even there is no reef we were so lucky to see giant turtle and few more interesting sea habitantes. My biggest problem with this place was too crowded beach full of sunbeds, and as we arrived when hotel was fully booked, it gave me very strong feeling of mass tourism and lack of possibility to relaxe in a more private set up. After few days it got less crowded so impression improved, and we also manage to take sun beds at the first raw for a few days, but for this you need to go to the beach very early in the morning to book your spot, before 7 am. Also maybe good to know, that majority of guests here were from Germany. We also had one unpleasent situation with two rude German woman at the beach, also guests of the hotel, but people from hotel management help us resolve it and moved them away from our area. Overall, nice place that I would recommend and would love to come back. I give 4 only as an stimulation to stay on top of the game and make some improvements wherever is possible. Note for future guests: You are not obliged to tip stuff beacuse you will have good service anyways, but it would be very nice from you if you do so, its the question of culture and showing your gratitude for nice reception that you will recieve here.

Had a week stay here at the Soma Beach. Firstly Egypt very very hot. The hotel air con was amazing. Was so good had to turn it off on a couple of occasions. Kids small pool slides are rubbish. Not worth going on. To much water so the slides don’t slide. Pool was really good. Split in to 3 so ample room for everyone. Pool beds again easy to get after the first day. Pool staff amazing. Can’t fault them. The pool service again excellent and always remembering the drinks you would like Rooms were ok and cleaned everyday to a great standard The beach was good although busy. The sea was hot which is great. Snack bars ok for food the hotdogs, panini and chips were very good. Staff in the restaurant were excellent and went above and beyond every day just amazing. Food was probably the only negative for me. It was OK but the variety seemed to lack and it was the same food pretty much every day. The only thing I thought was amazing was the sushi. So good. The rest was just average to be honest which was a shame. It was ok but wouldn’t say amazing. Onsite clinic is a god send. My son had an accident at the pool and the staff in the clinic and pool staff were superb in helping us deal with it so I can’t thank them enough. All staff are an asset to the hotel. They were exceptional. Keep up the good work.
