I recently had the privilege of visiting The Cascades Golf Resort, Spa, and Thalasso - stayed at room 6263 . Joined as an invited guest at the - 1st Egyptian Psycho-Cardiology Conference on 29 & 30 May 2025. Under the leadership of Mr. Hossam Adib, the General Manager, the experience exceeded expectations in every way, not only for its remarkable facilities but for the people who bring them to life. ||||The Heart of the Hotel—Its People||What truly sets The Cascades apart is its people. The soul of hospitality lies in the individuals who shape a guest's experience, and here, that essence thrives. Witnessing upper management speak with pride about their colleagues' backgrounds and journeys was more than inspiring—it was a rare reflection of genuine camaraderie and respect, something seldom seen in today’s industry. It speaks louder than words, turning service into an experience, and leadership into a shared vision. ||||Hotel Facilities and Conference Experience||From the spa and thalasso therapy center to the championship 18-hole golf course, the resort offers a range of luxury experiences that seamlessly blend leisure with professional excellence. The MICE facilities used for the conference were impeccable, ensuring smooth execution and an atmosphere of sophistication. ||||Exceptional Culinary Offerings ||The food and beverage experience was nothing short of outstanding. With diverse indoor and outdoor dining options, including a poolside bar and restaurant, every meal was an occasion. Beyond the superb international cuisine, BBQ on the last night with belly dance, tanoura was real authentic, the service was warm, intuitive, and deeply personal—a testament to the hospitality culture ingrained in the team. Watching the smiles of a group of doctors unfold as they connect with your team—feeling that unspoken bond take shape—that’s when the magic of #SensoryHospitality truly comes to life.||||Elegant Accommodations & Thoughtful Design||The rooms embody both comfort and refinement, offering spacious layouts and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The property's meticulous upkeep, from its lush gardens to its serene ambiance, enhances its appeal as a tranquil escape. ||||Conference Organization & Leadership Excellence||A special acknowledgment goes to Mr. Nabil Karma, Director of Sales, alongside Heba and Nadine, for their impeccable coordination of the conference. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to create a seamless experience were exemplary always there to assist. ||||Beyond its impressive facilities, The Cascades stands out for its #sensory hospitality, where thoughtful gestures transform a stay into a lasting experience. A prime example is the cinnamon apple juice offered at reception, a subtle yet powerful welcome that speaks to the heart of genuine hospitality. Another refined detail is the sparkling wine served at breakfast, a gesture that caters to international guests and adds a sophisticated touch to the morning dining experience. It’s these moments—unexpected yet intentional—that make service truly memorable. Here, comfort is not merely provided; it is deeply felt. ||||Yet, what truly defines The Cascades is its people. Their passion, pride, and unwavering commitment bring life to every space, turning service into connection and leadership into inspiration. This is more than a hotel—it is a reflection of excellence shaped by those who dedicate themselves to every guest’s experience. Whether attending a conference or indulging in a luxurious retreat, The Cascades offers not just hospitality, but a story worth remembering. ||||I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for more than just a stay—but a story to...
Read moreI was looking for a quiet hotel for maximum relaxation - and that's exactly what I got. A very nice, quiet hotel, with first class service, good food and a lot of relaxation. Many couples, not many families with small children - perfect.
Service: The service is top class, friendly and helpful, no matter in which area. If you like, you can always have a short chat with the staff. Some of the staff speak German, but English is great. You can give a tip, but you don't have to and it will be credited to your did room bill.
The only point of criticism: Some things are not all-inclusive. The minibar lists exactly what is included and what is not. With food and drinks at the beach or in the pool restaurant, this is unfortunately not so obvious in the menu and one is not always pointed out by the staff. Here, one can experience a nasty surprise. With some dishes it is natural that these are not included (high-quality steak or fish), with other things I cannot understand it however (Milkshakes, waffles, ice balls - converted 2.50€ the piece!).
Food & Drink: Varied evening buffet, partly there is an oriental theme evening with Arabic food and music. A part of the food selection is always the same (e.g. fruit, basics), but warm dishes alternate. The breakfast buffet is monotonous, but therefore not bad. The choice is large, fresh rolls and bread, salmon, muesli, yogurt, warm dishes, small desserts. You can have lunch in the restaurant by the pool or on the beach á la carte. All in all, the food was top, fresh and tasty whenever, wherever and whenever, and there were no problems with seafood. One also has the possibility to order food in the room, but this is not included for AI guests.
Room: The rooms are big, also the bathroom was equipped with a bathtub and a shower cabin (not at ground level). Beds were great, pillows too, if needed you can try different pillows. Rooms are cleaned daily. WiFi was available on the whole system, even on the beach there was WiFi available. For the daily need the speed was completely sufficient, with videostreaming it came however from time to time to its borders.
Hotel furnishings: The rooms and all other closed rooms are very well air-conditioned, so heat-sensitive people don't have to worry. If required, wind machines are placed on the terrace. All in all, the hotel has a very nice interior and also a very nice style. But if you take a very close look, you will find things that could be fixed, but which in sum and effect are limited and do not detract from the overall picture of the hotel.
Pool: Medium sized pool that is cleaned daily. Could be a little deeper for a proper swim, at the deepest point just 1.70m deep. In case of doubt, children get their own area by blocking off the deeper part of the pool. At the pool there are enough sunbeds and towels available, partly in a sun-protected wooden pavilion - very nice. There is also a small Jacuzzi with sunroof.
There is a minibus to the beach every 20 minutes, the ride takes about 7 minutes. The beach section of the hotel is beautiful and perfect. Not too steep, not too flat. Beautiful sandy beach, many sunbeds. Service directly at the lounger,...
Read moreWe had high expectations for our stay at this 5-star resort, but unfortunately, the experience did not live up to what was promised.||The first major disappointment was the “all-inclusive” concept. When you pay for all-inclusive, you expect most things to be included. Here, we had to pay extra for any drinks not produced in Egypt – which applied to a surprising number of options. Additionally, we expected spa facilities to be part of the experience at an all-inclusive spa resort, but that was not the case. They charge a high fee per hour to use the spa, which feels unreasonable when the spa is supposed to be a key feature of the resort.||The price level at the resort was also a big letdown. Everything, from drinks to activities, was significantly more expensive than in Hurghada, which is nearby. This added to the feeling that you don’t get value for money.||The cleanliness also left much to be desired. Our bed linen was not changed for an entire week, which is unacceptable for a place marketed as a luxury resort.||On a positive note, the golf course was in excellent condition and very fun to play. It also has an impressive and large practice area with a great driving range. However, access to the practice area and driving range was not included in the green fee, and using it came at an additional cost. This feels wrong when you’ve already paid for both your stay and the golf. Furthermore, the rounds of golf took 5 to 6 hours because too many flights were allowed out in quick succession. If you teed off before 9:00 AM, the queues were slightly shorter, but planning your day this rigidly shouldn’t be necessary to avoid long waiting times.||The food at the resort was good but did not meet the standard expected of a 5-star resort.||Overall, the experience felt more like a mediocre 4-star stay, far from meeting the expectations or price of a...
