I and my son we stay at Matarma Bay we took the offer of pay 2 nights and get 1 free and we stay 6 nights.

We arrived and the hotel was empty. We stayed 3 nights only us and the personal of the hotel. they start to clean and prepare the hotel only they after we arrived.

When we arrived and I saw that was empty I ask to change a room from the Deluxe to e Standard. They told me that I cannot because the day after the hotel has a group of 20 people as a reservation, but no one arrived until our forth day.

The room are very basic, no hang for the clothes, no hairdryer, no place where you can put your jacket.

When I ask to check the room I noticed direct that you hear all cars and trucks passing like they are next to you. When I ask to get another room for the noice the reception told me that I will not hear anything at night. At night you can hear only the cars and the trucks passing.

When I booked they send a general message where they wrote it that “No food is permitted from outside the hotel” I didn’t take anything from outside but when the others guests arrived on the forth day they come with all what they wanna eat or drink. If knew it before I will do the same because the “restaurant” has poor things to choose in the menu and all are very expensive.

The second day when we went to take breakfast we found a very nice surprise, a dog at night left a poop just next to the bar. It’s was 10am for all day no one remove it.

At the breakfast time they give us a plate with one omelette, 1 falafel, 1 spoon of cheese with tomato and some Ful.

After the fourth day when some guest arrived we got a big surprise by to find a buffet for breakfast so finally I and my son we can eat properly.

Not recommended place for the price 1277 pound for deluxe room and...

We recently stayed at Matarma Bay Camp in Ras Sudr, and while it had its charm, there were some notable drawbacks. The camp's relaxed atmosphere and beautiful beachfront location made for a great getaway. The community was friendly (A class), and I even spotted some celebrities during my stay.

The Good The camp's laid-back vibes and proximity to the beach were definite highlights. The staff was friendly, especially the managers. The food was delicious, although the breakfast menu was the same every day.

The Not-So-Good The room blackouts were a letdown, with sunlight pouring in early in the morning due to poor-quality curtains. Breakfast options were limited, with only one type of bread and no desserts, fruits, or juice. The lack of an open buffet for lunch and dinner meant we had to rely on the camp's restaurant, which had limited options, small portions, and overpriced meals (compared to the portion) The cabin was tiny, with no wardrobe or mirrors (except for a small one in the bathroom). The camp's pet policy seemed inconsistent, as we were told no pets were allowed, but another family had a parrot. Water wasn't provided in the rooms, and even during breakfast, there was no option to have water except to buy. Ras Sudr is a tiny city with no dinner options outside the camp, making the limited restaurant options even more frustrating.

Overall While Matarma Bay Camp has its strengths, the limitations and inconsistencies might make you think twice about staying here. If you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway and don't mind the drawbacks, this camp might be suitable for you. However, if you prioritize amenities, food options, and spacious accommodations, you might want to consider...

Ras Sudr itself is a beautiful place to visit||However, Matarma bay as a hotel is way below average||I was so excited to go there because I heard the place is really nice but I was really disappointed for the following reasons:||1. It is way overpriced and expensive ,it's not value for money compared to the service and quality they offer||Usually they offer an open buffet breakfast ,however, on the last day of my stay we found out that this is no longer the case and we have to order a set/fixed breakfast and when I asked why ,the answer was "the hotel is not fully booked so there's no need for the buffet" which I found quite rude honestly.||2. The staff consists of about 5 persons ,who do all the work and accordingly they cannot fulfill the client's needs ||3. no Room service or house keeping unless asked for because of the previously mentioned reason||4. The management "team" is unprofessional ,it's like they never had training before||5. The payment process takes ages ||6. the portions of the very over priced food is a joke ,you pay a lot for a very small plate and it's never enough so you'll be forced to order another plate||7. the mats you sit on by the beach are really dirty and ribbed (poor maintenance)||8. The hotel is a narrow strip of beach located directly by the highway. You can see and hear the passing cars and trucks from your room.||9. the hotel offers you the minimum of everything, one towel only ,one very small pillow to sleep on etc.||10. It is very expensive as if it was a luxurious hotel but in fact there's nothing luxurious about it||||To conclude ,I advice people not to believe the photos ,I mean the sea itself and sand and views are beautiful but the hotel itself...

I recently stayed at Matarma Bay Hotel in Ras Sedr, Egypt, and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and combines comfort with a stunning natural setting right by the Red Sea. The rooms are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, offering beautiful views of either the sea or the gardens. One of the highlights is definitely the beach — it’s quiet, well-kept, and perfect for both relaxation and water activities like kitesurfing, which Ras Sedr is famous for. The staff deserve a special mention. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make sure guests felt at home. The service felt genuine, which made the whole stay even more enjoyable. In particular Mazen and general manager Reda went above and beyond to make my stay memorable — they were professional, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality really stood out and added a personal touch to the whole experience. Food at the hotel was another pleasant surprise. The meals were fresh, varied, and delicious, with plenty of options that catered to different tastes. What makes Matarma Bay stand out is the sense of peace and connection with nature. It’s not just a hotel stay — it feels like a retreat where you can truly unwind, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Egypt’s Red Sea coast. I would highly recommend Matarma Bay Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, a family vacation, or even a quick escape from the city. I’m already looking forward to going back!
