I cannot fault this resort - I will mention some 'I wish..." at the end of my review but, in all honesty, the hotel was perfect.||||This was our first trip to Egypt, I didn't really fancy going and was a bit anxious about safety but, I wanted to get warm at a reasonable price. Honestly, any concerns I had were totally wiped out, I felt safe, no tummy issues, no mosquitos!!! We both loved it and will go back.||||- Along with many other reviewers, I have to say the team who work here are just fantastic. From reception, to the bars, the restaurant, the domestic team, the animation team - EVERYONE, absolutely charming, helpful and providing a first class service, we honestly felt like royalty and were treated as such.||- The ROOMS are superb, large, spotless. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was a pleasant surprise, it was huge with a sitting room, and large bedroom, both with flat screen TV's (except we could not work out how to use them)/dressing area/bathroom (exquisite) with bath and shower and, a balcony. Cleaned daily or not if we chose so.||- The BED!!! Oh my, this bed was better than my expensive one back home, I was out for the count as soon as my head hit the pillows sleeping like a log and also, the bed linen is of the highest quality, beautiful, as good as the best White Company sheets and such a pleasure to sleep in.||- The FOOD - Neither of us could fault it. Plenty of choice, chicken, beef, in sauces or grilled; fish; plenty of vegetable dishes in uk, mediterranean or other style. Salads galore and I have absolutely no doubt that ingredients were washed before being displayed; Barbecue; wraps; chips; potato dishes, soups, fabulous dips, any kind of bread you wanted. Fruit of all kinds and, the most amazing array of patisserie. and more...too much to mention. From where I was sitting, all of it was fresh daily and I could see no sign of food being re-constituted or re-heated and, for those who worry about foreign tummy...forget it, we were both absolutely fine. The variety and selection extended to breakfast, lunch and dinner and all the food was tasty. The chef's (Mohamed R in particular) were brilliant.||- We only went to the Asian a la carte, there was also an italian and a turkish restaurant but, to be honest, the meals appeared to be set and, there was so much more variety in the main restaurant which seemed to be open all the time. ||- As well as the restaurant, one can also get burger and chips types meals at the pool and beach bars.||- Only the one POOL, the main one, was in use whilst we were there. This is also huge, warm to a degree, perfect temperature in fact, huge and surrounded by sunbeds. Free, fresh towels daily on production of the towel card. Special areas for children and a jacuzzi in the middle, if that is your thing.||- Animation picked up during our second week when the team was changed, great bunch of people, plenty of classes, Zumba, stretching, Acqua Fit, Darts, Volley Ball etc but, with no enthusiastic hassling to join in.||- The evening entertainment was not so great, still good fun but, we don't go on holiday for evening entertainment and were content to watch for a while or sit in the bar. To which end, there is a bar in the middle of the pool, a people's bar or, the classy, lobby bar and, a bar on the beach which closes at sunset. ||- ALCOHOL - I was worried about not being able to get WINE (my tipple) but it was available at all the times the bars were open red and white from wine boxes but, easily drinkable and...sometimes I was treated to nice bottled wine but, I was happy whatever.||I did read that only premium brand drinks were being served however, on a downside, it was only Egyptian VODKA or GIN which tasted more like a Grappa but I think he got used to it. Definitely not premium.||- SPA - very good but haggle, I didn't but, still enjoyed my massage and pedicure.||- the COMPLEX itself is large - easily racked up 100000+ step per day. Grounds are perfectly maintained, it's lovely with the Sinai Mountains in the near distance...with the beautiful sunsets.||||All in all, we loved it especially all the wonderful people who work here.||||DOWNSIDES||- Not many, however, I like a good, old fashioned BEACH with waves rippling on to the sand and a slow wade into the sea. Here there is a beach of sorts which you have to access from the hotel via a shuttle bus that runs every 15 mins. The beach is really a series of beautifully laid out terraces covered with imported sand and, several large, wooden jetty's going out to the sea. The small access points into the sea are rocky, you do need beach shoes. Everywhere there are sun loungers. Plenty of people on the jetty's going in to snorkel as this beach is by a coral reef with plenty to see under water. I would also say that, because of all the different stepped areas, the access might be difficult for those with mobility issues. There is a beach club we were taken to by a wonderful lady on her third visit to Sharm, 20mins taxi drive away, it was brilliant but, still rocky under foot - great place to go though and cheap as chips.||- LOCATION - you can't easily go off site and explore the shops, you need a taxi and, from the hotel reception, this could set you back £15 - 20 return. That said, if you know the ropes, you can call an uber type taxi and pay only £2 - 3 for the short trip into the centre of Sharm and go explore.||- MUSIC - I enjoyed it but it's all that house type, beat music, how I longed for a bit of background James Taylor or the Eagles or or - but we are ancient...||||At one point, we were the only UK guests amongst some 798 Russians who seemed to lack social graces (I was also appalled at the amount of food piled onto plates that was then wasted, particularly when Ramadam started, those poor waiters). We were not looking to make a new BFF but, I felt they were a little disrespectful of the wonderful Egyptian staff. They were not fun to be around which detracted from the overall atmosphere - we are all different I suppose but, we did wonder how much more enjoyable it might have been with a larger mix of nationalities.||||So if you are after fantastic weather, great value, lovely people (the Egyptians) wonderful food, luxury accommodation and total rest and relaxation...this place is perfect and, I cried when we left...we...

My recent stay at the Rixos Golf Villas & Suites Sharm El Sheikh Resort was an unforgettable experience, encapsulating the essence of luxury and impeccable service despite a minor hiccup that was resolved with utmost professionalism and care. Nestled in the stunning coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh, this resort stands as a beacon of elegance and relaxation, offering an idyllic retreat for those seeking a memorable holiday with tranquillity and relaxation. Please check the photos to get the vibe.
From the moment I arrived, the reception area exuded opulence with its grand chandeliers and sophisticated dƩcor, setting the tone for the exceptional experience that lay ahead. Check-in was swift and welcoming, staff ensuring a smooth process including serving juice and coffee at the bar complimentary. The suite I was initially assigned was spacious, beautifully decorated, and boasted a panoramic view of the lush golf course.
Every detail, from the plush bedding to the tasteful artwork, was meticulously curated to enhance the luxurious ambiance.
However, a minor issue arose on the first day of my stay. The plumbing in the bathroom encountered some problems, leading to inconvenience. This was promptly reported, and the guest services team, particularly Ashraqat, responded with remarkable efficiency and empathy. Understanding the inconvenience caused, they quickly arranged for my relocation to a Presidential Suite, a testament to their commitment to guest satisfaction with complementary fruit platter that is well presented.
The Presidential Suite was nothing short of spectacular. It epitomized luxury with its expansive layout, elegant furnishings, and state-of-the-art amenities. The spacious living area, and breath-taking views elevated the experience to an unparalleled level of comfort and indulgence.
Throughout my stay, the resort's staff were exemplary in their service. Mohamed Gaber, the Restaurant Manager, deserves special mention for his exceptional hospitality. Dining at the resortās various restaurants (About 6 of them) was a culinary delight, with a diverse array of dishes that catered to all tastes. Mohamed ensured that each meal was a memorable experience in the open buffet, with his attentiveness and genuine warmth enhancing the dining experience, every single time.
The resortās housekeeping team, including Ibrahim Abdelhalim, maintained the highest standards of cleanliness and order. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured that my suite was always immaculate and well-stocked with all necessary amenities in the bar fridge. The little touches, such as the creatively arranged towels and nightly turndown service, and the beautiful Oud scent added a personal touch to the stay.
The resort offers a plethora of activities, from the serene spa treatments to the vibrant entertainment options on stage daily, ensuring that there is never a dull moment. Also, the beach that you get taken to with a hotel shuttle has provided excellent snorkelling activity and diving to about 20 meters. The golf course, a highlight of the resort, provided a challenging yet enjoyable experience for both amateur and seasoned golfers. Pro Tips Fly directly to sharm from your country (Cheaper flights) Book at all the restaurants on site from day one-dine for the first day at the main open buffet restaurant-then book dinning for the rest of the days to get the experience. Remember-You can always go to the main open buffet restaurant if you did not like the food where you booked-my Favourite was the Turkish. Ā Ā Ā Read moreRixos Golf Villas And Suites Sharm El Sheikh was amazing from start to finish. I arrived in the evening with my wife and my 8 month year old baby. From the time we arrived we were well taken care of by the staff. Reception staff were polite, friendly and surprised us by upgrading our room for our week long stay.
Executive Suite - 10/10 We had an executive suite which was amazing! It was so spacious, my little boy loved the space and crawled around. It had a sofa and living room area so we could spend time away from the sleeping area. The bed was so comfortable and we even had access to a bath and shower in the bathroom which was great to bathe our little boy!
Cleanliness 10/10 The whole hotel was spotless our room was made up everyday by Mohammed and it was spotless always clean and tidy. He was always replenishing our fridge with soft drinks and snacks. He would always leave us with many bottles of water!
Comfort 10/10 The room was amazing, spacious, clean and very luxurious with a lovely comfortable bed.
Facilities 9/10 The gym had everything you needed with enough equipment. Swimming pool was clean and big. Our little one loved it the pools. There spa but we didnāt get to use it. We would have give 10 but there were no baby changing facilities in the toilets compared to their sister hotel, Rixos Premium Seagate. The pool could do with some slight repairs due to some missing tiles.
You are able to have a day trip to Rixos Seagate. The coach collects you at 10.30am and drops you back at 5.30pm. Seagate was amazing and we were able to use their facilities as we were Rixos guests. Itās great here if you have older children as they have an aqua park however it was a bit crowded for us so we were happy to get back to Rixos golf and suites.
Location 10/10 It was not even a 10 minute drive from the airport which was fantastic for us after a long evening flight! We were driven around by the golf buggies and even got to see the sunset over at The golf course courtesy of the staff who picked us up and took us on a tour of the Rixos sites! We didnāt have a beach at the resort which was fine for us as we love the swimming pools however the beach was a 5 minute bus ride down the road. You can get the hotel bus every 15 minutes to and from the beach. The beach was perfect, with lots of free beds, comfy towels and the beach bar food was delicious! The only downside is if you had a buggy there are a lot of stairs. We bought a baby carrier which was fine and the staff helped us carry our buggy and bags down the stairs.
Staff 10/10 The staff couldnāt do enough for us! All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The staff always said āgood morningā and āgood eveningā which made our stay feel personable which we love about this hotel as the staff remember your name! Rasha (Guest Relations) was incredible and took care of us very well. There was nothing Rasha couldnāt sort out for us and she always did it with a smile! Rasha checked in on us to always make sure we were happy! Which of course, we were!
Food 10/10 We loved the food! So much variety in the buffet restaurant! We went to the al la cart restaurants, including the Italian and Turkish/Lebanese restaurant and the food was delicious! The managers of each restaurant made sure we were full up and couldnāt do enough for us! Every restaurant made a point to ask if we wanted them to make our baby food which was so accommodating!
Overall we had the best 7 day holiday as a family with a young baby! The staff were so friendly and gave lots of attention to our baby who was always smiling and laughing! We really loved our stay here and will definitely be back again! We felt very comfortable at this hotel and were made to feel welcome and cared for! Thank you Rixos - From the...
