Arrived 22 of February|Very nice experience. Fast check in.|The porter carried my travel bag on his shoulder all the way to the room.||Room:|Very nice room with a patio in front of the room.|Hotel grounds:|Very big, very green with lots of garden decorations and Art work!!!|Very nice and well lit so you can have a nice walk after sunset.||Beach/Beaches:|2 main beach areas|1st Beach - my favorite, is next to the Olympic pool with a nice pier over the coral reef and a relaxation area with sun loungers under a palm roof and lots of sun loungers to use on the sand next to the reef.||2nd Beach area - is a huge maze with lots of options for everyone and submeredged ponton leading to platform above coral reef.||2 Wild beaches are next to the beach maze:|No sun loungers, no umbrellas, but amazing sand, and you can bring a sun lounger from the beach maze - no problem, or you can enjoy the sand.||Coral reef/reefs:|An aquarium with all kinds of fish and sea animals|You name it, I met them all.||Restaurant:|The main restaurant has very good service and a decent selection of food for everyone.|My favourite was The Pasta Station runned by Italian chef Sergio|I stayed for 2 weeks and had a different pasta almost every night.|I skipped it only 2 times on Egyptian theme days in Restaurant - once a week.|The hotel management is very nice and responds to requests surprisingly quickly.|Room cleaning is far from perfect - my room was only cleaned properly once - the floor was mopped after I deliberately left sandy flip flops in the middle of the room.|Linen has been changed only once during a 14 days stay|Towels are changed daily but are often forgotten.|During my 14 days stay the floor was swept, not mopped - and there was sand everywhere. The cleaner forgot to put new towels in the bathroom several times and I had to call reception. Reception is quick to respond but you will have to call again and again to get what you ask for - they got aggravated after I had to call for the 3rd time and responded impolitely.|Remember 1 minute in this hotel is equal to 30 regular minutes|So if they tell you - in 5 minutes, you will be waiting for 2.5 hours.||Check Out:|On my day of departure the 8th of mars the porter dragged my travel bag along the paths paved with natural stones with razor sharp edges to the reception and completely ruined it.|All the walking paths are paved with natural stones with very sharp edges and they are very uneven and are not level.||Due to the porter dragging the bag over sharp rocks, the wheels were damaged and are not usable anymore, the bottom and sides of the bag were damaged and cut by the sharp edges of the rocks, my favorite duffle bag is no longer usable.|I saw a luggage cart near the reception. Why not use it?|A very unpleasant experience at the end...

Room 202: Nice and spacious room with king sized bed. Located down from the main restaurant and has a bit of a view to the sea. The bed is a bit hard. It does get pretty loud in the evening because of the loud music/activities in the main area/bar close to the room. There is a mini fridge, a kettle, small TV, closet and a spacious bathroom. Although it says that if the towels are hanging they will not be changed, the towels were changed anyway as long as they are not on the same spot as they are placed by the roomservice. The window in the bathroom/shower has the shop on the other side of it, everything that's being said inside and outside is heard really well. There is a bit of poor air ventilation in the bathroom which results in some mold spots on shower walls. Water is not drinkable, drinking water bottels are provided in the room. Safebox is not attached to the wall/closet, just a freestanding box in the closet.
Lebanese restaurant on the premises that has to be booked one day in advance, open Saturday/Monday/Wednesday.
Tipping is expected: ok with 100 Egyptian pounds, 200 is nice. Recommended to tip twice during the one week stay.
Hotel is located a bit far from the city/activities. Recommended places to visit by the guide: Soho square best time to go kl.19-20 (taxi 30 min 500 EGP one way) or hotels taxi service 25$ back and forth. Old market 15$ back and forth with hotels taxi service.
Would NOT recommend the boat ride to the white island/snorkeling in the park. The hotel has way better and stress-free snorkeling with its private two beaches.
Few improvement wishes: Would be nice if the buffet had a schedule/overview of the food themes. F.ex. Tuesdays are "traditional/oriental" food, Friday is seafood, etc. Also if all the food had labels/names and what are the ingredients. It would be nice with more fresh juice options than just orange (€2 per glass for breakfast).
The music/loud activities in the evening are a bit too loud for the rooms close...
Read moreWe spent a wonderful week's vacation in this hotel. I love planning trips and always approach this issue very carefully. There were four of us on vacation (two couples), but I chose the hotel. For me, it was important to meet three main conditions: its own reef, delicious food, clean bed linen. The hotel turned out to be very good, despite the fact that it is 4, not 5. Yes, the room they gave us was a little tired, but they gave our friends a new one. It was not a matter of principle for us, since we spent from 8 am to 9 pm outside. Everyone scared us that it is cold in Egypt in November-December, that it is no longer the season. We vacationed from 28.11 to 5.12 - the weather was wonderful. The water temperature is +26, and the air temperature is +24. There are a lot of fish on the flooded pontoon. There were no sharks) There was good unobtrusive animation. Young guys Amir, Chico and Dario are the best! Chico is a great dancer, Dario helped the Russian volleyball team play, and Amir always gave us positive energy and smiles every day. They always invited us to exercise, dance, and play volleyball so that we wouldn't lie around on the beach and accumulate fat from the buffet. The food, by the way, was very tasty and varied. The Italian chef cooked perfect al dente pasta every day, not stuck together macaroni like I have at home. As for alcohol, I'll say this: the local alcohol is different, or it's diluted. If you like to drink, it's better to get it from duty free. I'm not much of a drinker, so a glass of wine with dinner was enough. The hotel is definitely better than some 5* in Egypt (I was in Hurghada in Hawaii Le Jardin - not very good at all, for example). The staff at the reception, in the kitchen - everyone is very friendly and smiling. I can safely recommend this hotel. But keep in mind that it's far from the center - not walking distance. Here you can really enjoy the peace and unity with nature (the gardener at the hotel is also great). The beach is in a bay, so you can hide from the wind even...
