We recently stayed at Steigenberger Hotel in Taba from July 3rd to 6th, 2025, for a family getaway with four families—including ours, with three daughters. We booked a sea-view family room, while the other families stayed in three sea-view standard rooms.
From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home thanks to the warm welcome from Ahmed and Mahmoud Emad, who made the check-in process fast, easy, and genuinely heartfelt. Their kindness was a beautiful way to start our vacation.
Our room was clean, spacious, and had an incredible view. It included a queen bed and a twin bed—not ideal for five, but the staff went above and beyond to help us rearrange the furniture and make the space more comfortable.
Dining & Food 🍽️
The food throughout our stay exceeded expectations compared to similar hotels in the area. • Breakfast was a highlight: fresh omelets, waffles, pancakes, a wide selection of vegetables, and traditional options. • Lunch had fewer options but featured family favorites like hamburgers, nuggets, and pizza at the snack bar. • Dinner was the best of all—plentiful choices, flavorful dishes, and delicious desserts that left everyone satisfied.
Pools & Activities 🏖️
There are two pools—one saltwater and one freshwater—both extremely kid-friendly, safe, and well maintained. We always found seating, and the lifeguard was attentive, especially with the children, which gave us great peace of mind.
We spent many hours at the Kids Club, where the staff member there (a very kind young woman) was lovely and welcoming to kids of all ages. The area was safe, clean, and well-equipped with a range of toys and activities.
Entertainment & Celebrations 🎉
While we didn’t visit the spa, we did attend the night shows, which were fun and amusing. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was celebrating our father’s birthday. The hotel surprised us with a beautiful, delicious cake delivered to his room, and later, during the evening at the lobby bar, the staff organized a touching moment where they brought the cake on stage—with the singer leading a birthday song. It was an unforgettable experience for our whole family.
Staff Appreciation 🙏
We’re deeply thankful to the wonderful staff who made our stay extra special: • Ahmed, Mahmoud Emad, and Emad – for their constant support and kindness, especially toward our children. • Adel – for taking such good care of our rooms. • The beach bar team – always helpful and friendly.

Room service was good if you tip the staff. Without tipping, the service quality noticeably drops, which was disappointing.
I stayed in a mountain-view room. Unfortunately, the room was not quiet at all. You can clearly hear engine noises from outside — including the air conditioning units and ventilation systems. In addition, the door is not soundproof, so even regular conversations in the hallway or outside the room are easy to hear. This affected the comfort level significantly, especially at night.
Another downside was the bar prices. They were extremely high — for example, a can of beer costs 20 shekels, which felt overpriced for the region.
We booked two rooms: one for 2 adults + 1 child and another for 2 adults + 2 children, and paid accordingly. However, during our stay, hotel staff called multiple times to complain that one of the children registered in the first room was sleeping in the second room (a suite). This was intrusive and unacceptable. We had paid for both rooms, and it should be entirely our decision where each family member sleeps — whether it’s with the parents, the kids, or even the grandparents. The fact that the child chose to sleep in a different room doesn't justify repeated interruptions.
This wasn’t an isolated case. My sister, who was staying at the hotel at the same time, had a similar experience. Even though everyone slept in their originally assigned rooms, they were still disturbed by unnecessary calls...
Read moreThe Hotel and amenities are good, but the service was really not good... Will start with the end, the check out, which was really disturbing - the receptionist literally took my phone out of my hand and wanted to put his own reveiw (5 stars). Check out took 20 min as they had to go to the room and check the mini bar- are we in 1980 again?? Check in was way too long and so inefficient; I ordered two rooms with connecting doors as I have 3 small children (below 9) - they wanted to put the 3 small children at the 9th floor and the parents at the 8th floor, and the receptionist found it very reasonable.... Housekeeping was really not good, our room was only took care of at 5 pm and we never got the amount of towels needed - the housekeeper always asked for a tip each and every day, and one evening he just told us I don't have new towels, will give you tomorrow, how come?? Pool towel really dirty. The food was good, but the food service is not efficient and lines for the food (especially pasta) were too too long (15-20 min wating time). The pool souranding is a real hazard- floor is so slippery that I almost broke a leg twice (not to mention the amount of times my children and others fell down). Not enough chairs around the pool and not enough shade at noon time.
There were renovations at the hotel, so from 9am till 6pm there was noise that you could not even hear yourself breath in the room, let alone rest during the day.
It is a peaty as the hotel...
