This hotel is amazing! All the staff are super attentive, engaging and friendly!
During our check-in, although they were overwhelmed. They still acknowledged us, and still talked to us to get our process started. They even served us some welcome drinks, which were very good (I believe pineapple). After completing the check-in process, they gave us access to the WiFi with clear and easy instructions, took notes of which bags belonged to who and to which room. Then, showed us our rooms and brought the bags pretty quickly to the rooms.
The hotel's design is, in itself very unique. Very bright, mostly simple, but still with many wonderful small details, like macrame designs on vases and umbrellas. The main part of the resort has many plants and seating areas for guests to enjoy and chill. The main pool is easy to access and central to the hotel, with one of those fun built in drinks bar that you can swim up to. But its also accessible if you dont want to get wet and has an included seating area. Even though the Hotel would be considered fairly new, they are on top of their maintenance. They can be seen actively replacing lose or cracked tiles, and walkways.
The hotel although without direct access to the beach, provides a bus shuttle service that runs regularly that is a 10min ride. The bus driver is friendly and will return if the bus is full to pick more people up.
At the beach and poolside, staff is always available to help. They will help you find seats, open the umbrella for you, and will occasionally come (or if asked) move your sunbed or umbrella to give you better shade as the sun moves throughout the day. The hotel uses a towel card system to manage the beach and pool towels, even the staff here will joke around with you and are easy to deal with.
The food is open buffet style for both the breakfast and dinner, and lunch is à la carte. Its fairly standard on most days, preparing mostly the same options each day for each meal, they seem to spruce it up adding more exclusive items for special days like national holidays. It is varied in options but not too overwhelming. For both buffet meals, they usually set out baked pastries and breads, salads, as well as fruits and deserts. For breakfast they will have a fried eggs and omelets station where you can ask the chef for whatever you'd like, they also set out cereal and some other standard continental and american breakfast items (sausages, waffles, pancakes, etc.). For lunch they set some amazing options as well, usually swapping out some but otherwise its pretty standard. The staff during the meals are always ready to clear your plates, bring you drinks and bring you more cutlery or napkins if needed. They're so quick and professional, not wanting to disturb you, that sometimes they disappear a little but you'll suddenly notice that the empty plate infront of you has vanished!
Room service is pretty good too. They have an interesting system for the do not distrib/don't clean room, they are bedside buttons that you can simply press and will display on the rooms doorbell outside - replacing the usual door hanger that most hotels I've seen use. They will resupply a bottle of water for each guest in the room, and the hot drinks bar (coffee, tea, sugar, creamer). They follow what I've seen has become common practice in many hotels around the world, replacing your room towels only if you place them on the floor in the shower/washroom - so that you can be more eco friendly during your stay. They will make and tidy your beds, and only replace the sheets if you place an included card (bedside) on the beds.
The animation team (or guest activities and entertainment) is super fun! They will hang out with you during their downtime, and will remind you of when their activities are and where they are taking place so you don't forget or miss it! The ones I met Nada, Rahma, Youssef and Basango are all super talented, each with a unique personality. They are like a family, and will want to bring your kids (and you) to dance, play, and laugh...

I gave the hotel 3 out of five last time, Honestly after going back again, Things started to change… they are getting there it just needs a but of time but. i had a very pleasant stay and i saw the difference that was made and many thanks to the top management for hearing me out and also reaching out.. its great to see actions made to keep this place alive and nice as it always been. Many thanks and definitely a thumbs up for the people working there for giving a 200% effort from the front desk till the house keeping.
I am changing my star rating as they deserve it.
1st Review Let me start by saying how much i love this hotel and how much i am sad watching it going down within the level of service…
I am a frequent guest, since 2019 and this is the first time that am giving a negative review for it.
1st booking: After booking through an app, and confirming with the hotel for our requested room ( ground floor), it took us an hour and 15 mins to check in, and after waiting this time we didn’t get the room as per our request that was confirmed by the hotel.
2nd The room. We got in the room many towels were missing, the room had a bad smell which honestly went and came back so we thought it will just go but stayed and had to call them to fix it. All of the toilet and shower locks need to be fixed. The amenities inside the room is very poor, its a triple room and there is only one glass and 1 cup for example.
3rd the pool. The atmosphere is amazing the pool water temp is perfect, but unfortunately the pool bar service is kinda not there, like u have to go urself to order something and there is only one guy at the bar that manages it sometimes 2 but rarely. From my experience there should be waiters moving around giving u the service to order from your place and nit every time you when you want to eat or drink you have to get up and walk there.
4th the food and restaurant. This is one of the good reasons i love this hotel, the food quality and taste are so good, even the deserts, drinks are free in the restaurant which is so convenient, and the staff are so friendly.
Conclusion, the top management needs to take some serious actions regarding hiring more staff as from what i saw they are so understaffed and the only time i enjoyed the hotel was when it didn’t have much people in week days. Basically no much people so the understaffed will preform to the capacity of the hotel when its empty, but when its fully booked OMG the service is slow the staff are struggling to keep up.
I hope that this would change soon as I really like the place and i wana...
Read moreIt all comes down to the little things. The tiny details that at the end of the day make all the difference to the guests. People who are in charge of Tanoak are really in on that secret. How to make you happy with every little details. From the moment we set foot in the hotel’s front desk, even though it was in the first day of Eid and the reception was increasingly filling with guests. We were met by an employee who arranged the queue with smile, a kind word and a welcome drink. There was some sort of a problem in the booking details on our part and they solved it for us in no time as before we knew it we were checked in. The ambience at first glance is of a vastness of white. The walls are paneled with oak staying true to the hotel’s name and decor all over filled with the relaxing brushes of either white, off white or beige. Rooms are expansive and spacious bearing the designs of the both simple and elegant. The pool area had the same signature with clean showering areas that were well equipped with all necessities such as shower gel and shampoo. The pool itself although being one pool yet was really clean with a unique design and the animation team showered kids with little balls and water guns as well as smiles. The restaurant is another epic story of efficiency, delicacy and hospitality. Dishes were served with love and small talk. Whatever you needed was there. Again little things? There’s an ample of those, little bottles of water greeted you on tables, welcome drinks of freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning. A vast sushi stand in the evening that’s there every day. And the staff are those busy attentive people who make your meal even better. Little details included tiny messages you found next to your bed saying sweet dreams we’ve fluffed up your bed and a beautiful fruit tray greeting you on your first day and free Wi-Fi in the room. The beach is another piece of heaven, and although it’s a bit far from the hotel area, it’s a four minute drive by your car in a paved walkway with its own parking area and seriously they’ve made up for the distance with the splay of a vast shore line with the sandy beach and clean sea, as if someone has combed the whole area. The sand under your feet feels like silk underwater. Along the beach you can find a restaurant and cafe also several cabanas and swings that are really cozy. The whole hotel is made of unique ingredients that spell care and love and home. We loved every second of our stay and can’t wait to head back to...
