A friend of mine and I stayed here for three nights in January 2024. We wanted a place to relax and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. We got what we looked for. The place is an amazing hideaway with perfect mornings and evenings. It’s close to the Tunis village and the road to Wadi Rayan. The resort offers local breakfast like Fateer Mushaltet or fava beans and falafel. Rooms are spacious with a unique local architecture having a dome covering the entire ceiling of the room. The dome will echo the sound in a very special way. My friend and I spent some time moving around manipulating this phenomena. Service was amazing and staff was very helpful. Beds were comfy and we were provided with extra blankets.
Here are a few things this place needs: Hangers were missing from the room. No hangers in the main living space and no hangers in the bathroom. It was extremely cold and the unit we stayed on n didn’t have heaters. We had to bury ourselves under two blankets and extra warm bed sheet staff provided us. Probably heaters were not in the plan since Egypt is warm most of the year. We had to move from one room that smelled because of bad plumbing. The entire room had a strong sewage odor. But staff responded very quickly and moved us to another room.
My final verdict is that I will stay there again and I would encourage the management to do these little upgrades. All in all the Lake House resort is a perfect place for those who would like a serene place. I would like to thank everyone who made our stay comfortable...
Read moreGreat spot to spend the weekend. Service is great and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I would like to thank Mohamed from the staff, who helped us a lot and guided us on the activities to do and even took us there, all while refusing to take any tips for his effort. The view from the room is amazing, overlooking the lake and the pool. The included breakfast is authentic and local. We also ordered lunch here once, and it was generous and tasty. The location is close to Lake Qarun, and driving distance to Wadi El Rayaan. The missed star is because sometimes there was no water, which meant the water heater is not filled and you basically can't take a shower until the heater is filled and then heated. Would...

After long day of nice trips you return back to have shower and rest, but you get shocked that electricity is not working and generator is malfunction, water tanks empty hence no water for using the toilets or showers. Hotel employees are helpless and giving wrong information. Maybe it would be better in the future when they are experienced since the...
