We just stayed one night because our plan was to do the zip line out of Apaneca. The grounds are quite large and beautiful. There is a pool which we used for the afternoon. It was quite windy and there was a lot of pollen if that sort of thing bothers you. The water was pretty cold but I thought it was refreshing after a long day of driving and site seeing. There were only 2 lounge chairs which would have posed a problem if there were other swimmers.||The rooms were a bit tired and a lot of the light bulbs were burned out. The beds were comfy but hot water was absent in the morning and the shower head was from a jet fighter. Wooden doors on a shower are not the best option and they had mold on them. ||The walls were paper thin and we heard everything in the next rooms and in the morning we heard all the conversations taking place outside. I can see if there was a big party of people and you wanted to get a good night sleep that you would have a problem. It's quite unfortunate because the place has great potential. There was a climbing wall and rope course that we saw but didn't have time to investigate. ||The restaurant had a very cozy atmosphere. We ate dinner there which was pretty decent for the price.||All in all, it ended up being fine for us for 1 night but I can see how it might have turned out poorly. I think that management should pay a little attention to the rooms and pool area with some upgrades. This could be a place to stay for a couple nights but as is, one night and done is...
Read moreWe booked this hotel thinking that it was going to be a quite place and a relaxing experience. We were wrong! Some people who had attended a wedding at the hotel earlier that day, gathered in the guest rooms area to have an after party by 11 pm, there were alcohol, and very loud music. They were so loud that nobody staying inside the guest rooms could sleep. We contacted the manager several times, she said she will make them stop and dismiss their loud party. She NEVER did it, never, then the manager stopped taking our calls. Around 2 am in the morning and after 3 hrs trying to sleep we couldn’t take it anymore so my wife and I had to go outside, confront them and ask then to leave. Luckily they dismissed. Probably they didn’t know that there were more guests trying to sleep next door, but the fact that the manager didn’t take this issue seriously is unacceptable and very unprofessional. If you’re going to stay at this hotel, ask first if they have a wedding or any other type of events during your staying, if they say yes DON’T stay here!!!! You probably will have the same problem and the manager won’t...
Read moreHotel Santa Leticia is located in the vicinity of Apaneca a small town in the Apaneca Range. The hotel is part of a coffee plantation, rooms are adequate for a farm style hotel. The grounds are nicely kept with some wildlife on them, specially birds, beautiful tropical birds. I have stayed in this hotel on various occasions and as usual I am not disappointed, its location is prime since near various small towns on the Apaneca Range, Apanneca, Ataco and Juayua, which can be accessed in 15 to 20 minutes driving. ||I greatly recommend this hotel for its beautiful locations as well as...
