Villa Madison Hostal — Hotel in Municipio de Acajutla

This place was just amazing!!! We stayed there for 19 days, I hadn't been back to El Salvador for over 30 yrs and I wasn't acclimatise to the heat there. The hostel was a home away from home. First the place is big, we stayed in a 1 bedroom with 2 queen sized beds and a private ensuite. Most importantly, it had air-conditioning, clean and spacious. There is a shared kitchen and lounge area with a wonderful garden and hammocks. The owner Isabell was just so welcoming and her worker was just so wonderful. If you needed anything, she could direct you where to go, or connect you to the right people for outings and other destinations. They also have a in house laundry service, where you are charged by the load. They really take care of cleaning your clothes. They were so hospitable, caring and for me felt like family. One word: amazing. The building is a new construction; everything was super clean and well maintained. The amenities were of great quality: the bedsheets and pillow cases were soft and clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and smelled lovely, even the toilet paper was thick and smelled nice. The owner Isabel was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she provided everything we needed. The location is excellent since it a few steps from a beautiful sea viewpoint “Las Peñas” (cliffside rocks) and a couple minutes walk from the beach; it was also really close to some markets and some nice restaurants. There is a police station in the area and we always felt safe walking around even at night. Perfect place to take a good beach vacation, really nice and relaxing place to spend time in. Host and worker are welcoming. Really clean and detail place, love seen the sunset in the roof top that they have there and have a coffee in the outside area. Love the set up and room decoration!
