In full disclosure, this review is regarding our communication with this business regarding a volunteering opportunity on the farm and our experience interacting with the owners through the phone number attached to this property.

My partner and I both reached out regarding a cultural and learning exchange advertised by this farm (found on Workaway) in a polite and friendly manner. Unfortunately, the owners were extremely unresponsive and impolite when they did eventually respond to our courteous messages. We were eventually told their availability and then were left unanswered again - we totally understand people being busy but there is a polite way to highlight this. After trying to follow up with them again we were told that they decided to go with other volunteers without even the courtesy of an explanation. Then when we did ask to understand why the sudden change, we were sent a passive aggressive message stressing how dealing with volunteers is not high on their long list of priorities.

I strongly believe that regardless of schedules, there is a polite and friendly way to conduct yourself when dealing with others and we found this experience rude and hurtful, hence the 1* rating. I write this full review to share my experience in the hope that anyone else in the same situation as us can benefit from this...

I would not recommend going to this farm at all, me and my girlfriend Sarah where going to volunteer here but we travelled for 3 days from el zonte on the coast to get to a town 30 minutes away from where there farm is and Tobias wouldn’t even budge on coming to get us, as WE where the ones volunteering for him, then we ended up having to pay a fortune just to get to his farm and he turned out being arrogant and definitely not welcoming if you are planning on travelling here,...
