Beautiful resort with friendly and hardworking staff.
About 10 minutes of driving down a well maintained dirt road with no potholes. It wasn’t difficult when we drove but we visited at the start of the rainy season. Our compact SUV rental car had no issues making it there. Free parking at the hotel.
It looks like there are 7 rooms. We shared the entire resort with one other couple because we arrived on a weekday during the shoulder season for tourism. Food options a little expensive at between $10 and $20 but reasonable given they need to transport all the ingredients. The seafood soup was very good. There aren’t any restaurants close by. We did see a few small stores on the dirt road. Delicious and cheap alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available at the hotel bar - I’m happy that the prices were reasonable for the drinks. The mango margarita was perfect.
Directly and private beach access. The waves are quite large so not suitable for swimming unless you are brave but certainly nice for wetting your feet. The sand is soft with no rocks.
The room was clean and the facility is well maintained. The balcony had a hammock on it and a view of the ocean. Their air conditioning works well. There was no hot water in our shower but the shower was otherwise nice.
The staff are excellent- very friendly and they work all day maintaining the property and cleaning. They were very patient with our broken Spanish. I’m not sure if they speak English but the WiFi was good so you can probably use Google translate.
We paid for the room directly through the hotel website. It was cheaper than the 3rd party websites like Booking.com.
we have no complaints-...
Read moreThe hotel was perfect from start to finish. The hotel arranged, at short notice,an airport transfer and we were driven by Fredy who was an extremely careful and considerate driver. We stayed for a week and were met at the hotel by Andrea who could not have been more helpful in settling us in including bringing us breakfast in our room at 1pm after we had been travelling from the UK for over 24 hours without much sleep! This service was continued throughout our stay by two main staff at the hotel namely Alejandro and Javier who were consummate professionals of the very highest order. Anything we asked for was quickly answered and sorted out. The hotel is very quiet and walks on the extensive black sand beach is only shared, at any time of the day, with local fisherman and their children. If you want a destination of truly deserted beaches, peace and quiet and exceptional service this is the place to go. If you want a loud beach party experience then this is not the place for you. Quite simply one of the most relaxing weeks I have spent anywhere made possible by Alejandro, Javier, Andrea and all the other staff at Lali Beach hotel. Highly highly...

Positives - It’s beautiful It’s right on the ocean it’s so incredibly peaceful it’s staff were exceptionally helpful. But then there was 2 of them and 1 of me so I guess they had nothing else to do I had a lot of time to mull on life and write
Negatives - it’s so absurdly overpriced. It’s 2-3 times more expensive than it should be it looks like it was made in 1 afternoon the food was fine but little choice and nowhere else to go when you’re there
Overall I actually loved my time from purely being alone on a beautiful beach
But there’s just no way in hell this experience should have cost as much as it did
It’s a beautiful beach shack, but a shack nonetheless. But it costs the same as a mega luxury...
