Kääriku Spordikeskus — Hotel in Otepää vald

The staff here (at least for the cooking area) are extremely rude and reduced me to tears with their behaviour. I had been staying for a week already and had no previous issues getting my prebooked vegetarian meal, but on the very last meal one of the members of staff refused to serve me at dinner. Speaking in Estonian I did not understand what they were trying to tell me. They pointed to text in a book (also in Estonian) and started yelling angrily at me as I silently stood there. I said confused “I’ve been fine before? Why is this an issue now?” But she kept yelling and looking angry, raising her voice more and more until I felt embarrassed. I apologised timidly and backed off before sitting down to cry with no food at my table. She then walked over and angrily threw the vegetarian food at my table and stormed off. I heard from my friend this member of staff has been an issue for others too. Please speak to your staff team. I have forwarded my complaint to the company I travelled that booked the venue, and advised they not book this resort...

Sorry but if you developing such good facilities it should be an extra power supply, SUCH AS DEISEL GENERATOR.

We participated fencing competition Nordic championship (THERE ARE MANY PARTICIPANTS FROM SWEDEN, DENMARK, FINLAND, LITHUANIA, LATVIA, NORWAY, ESTONIA) from another country 6-8 October 2023, the weather was stormy, in Otepaa there was no electricity BUT in my opinion there MUST BE DEISEL GENERATOR WHICH COULD SUPPLY ELECTRICITY.

AND IN HOTEL APARTMENTS IT WAS COLD AND ALL SPORTSMEN WERE SITTING IN LOBBY BECAUSE IT THE ROOMS IT WAS VERY COLD. SPEND SO MUCH MILLIONS BUT NOT GENERATOR. I DON'T WANT TO THINK IF THE ELECTRICITY WILL CUT DOWN IN WINTER, AND CHILDREN BECOME ILL, OR FREEZED BECAUSE OF EXTREMELY LOW TEMPERATURES.

I HOPE THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS KÄÄRIKU SPORDIKESKUS WILL MAKE GOOD CONCLUSIONS IN ORDER TO AVOID MUCH MORE...

The studio and sauna were super clean and tidy. Because of the snow the views were gorgeous!

The only downside was that it was next to a road and in the evening when you put the lights on and no curtains, you can see everything inside. Also, you had to walk to a sauna without any room to change clothes there. A robe and slippers would’ve been nice, even if it was offered as an add on.
