I will have to be very frank with this review but this village management lacks of fundamental notions of hosting any kind of guests. They shouldnt call themselves a village! Although the staff has been gentle we have been left for 5 days with no changing towels or anything. The toilet had no toilet brush and only a very cheap soap dispenser. Never been approached by a cleaner in 5 days!! Actually we found quite weird that we had to pay all in advance. Never happened before in my entire life.|Big hotels take momentarly credit from your card as a deposit for eventual extra but in this "village" we had to pay everything on the spot. Water, coffe, food. Pay first and then you get it! Squallid and unconfortable. Other chapter is the very poor breakfast with no juices and not many alternatives at all. We also tried food once and it was ok but the day after we spent time in the toilet and this cant be just bad luck. In terms of info point almost no materials, no suggestions. No effort whatsoever. The swimming pool was not clean and the bowling was not working ( and those were the two reasons why we chose this place as requested from out 11 years old kid). The tv in the hall of course was not working ( with the olimpic games ON!). Nobody carenof adjusting.'Just cashing IN. Now we understand the differenence between 4 and 5 stars hotels and this type of village but we spent even less in Estonia and found perfectly clean and efficient structures. We are very...
Read moreWe were looking for a cheap accommodation in Kuressare or not that far from it. Holiday village Suur Tõll has excellent price/performance ratio (32 euros per log cabin with shared bathroom per night for 2 persons, breakfast 5 euros per person). I called the holiday village to make a reservation and I received a confirmation by e-mail (no advance payment or credit card details were required). The room was basic but very clean. The whole place was very well planned (there were houses with more comfortable rooms, log cabins, a spatious restaurant, outdoors swimming pool, lots of activities: adventure park (for no additional charge), basketball and volleyball court, bowling, children's playground, barbeque facilities, a dance floor. I liked very much that there were plenty of beautiful flowers everywhere. The breakfast buffet in the morning was quite abundant. The waitresses could have come and checked if there was enough food for everybody (we went to the reception and said that several items were finished and after that they brought more food). What is good about this place is that it is possible to enjoy yourself even if it is raining - luckily the weather was good in the evening when we stayed there and we could enjoy...
Read moreWe came here for lunch. The food was excellent and the portions were almost American-sized. Prices were low. Our table was a giant swing, we swung ourselves while eating. The whole property is beyond huge. You can easily spend one week in the Summer here without ever living the place. Even though we were not lodging there, as we came only for lunch, we had nevertheless access to the pool, which is large enough for swimming and which includes a protected zone for children (the adult part is 1.40m deep, the children part is 0.5m deep). Access to the pool was free, as in "no need to pay absolutely anything" and so was access to the large children playground. So if you want a large meal for an inexpensive price, and a very tasty one, with time by the pool as a bonus, and plenty of open air space to enjoy also as a bonus - this is the place to go. Children will love the playground and the sheer size of the area, including some miniature replicas of local landmarks. Of course,...
