Staying in Metsara is like a holiday in a world long gone. Arriving to this beautiful place is like stepping out of a time machine - all the houses are very old but renovated beautifully and respectfully. It felt like a very special treat, being able to actually stay in a place rich with so much history. The surroundings are peaceful and nature is everywhere. Antero and Riitta are such great hosts, always ready to help out with good tips. Riitta's breakfast was superb, the most beautiful and lovingly arranged collection of food we've ever seen on our travels. She has made a special effort of changing bits of it so we wouldn't have to eat the same thing twice. ||Antero heated the sauna for us in the evenings. ||Antero is full of interesting stories, we would have loved to stay longer and learn more about the place, Estonian life during and after the sowjet union and about his life as a rock star.
