Kubija hotell-loodusspaa — Hotel in Võru linn

As always- i love the overall vibe and location of the hotel. Place feels quiet and relaxing as it’s close to the forest. Spa area is smaller compared to other hotels but i find that there is still enough to do to relax. Loved the outdoor saunas and the warm japanese style bath (42°c). I wish the salt sauna had more salt buckets and smaller grain salt in there as the seasalt can be harsh to rub on sentsitive skin. |Bed was so comfortable! Bathroom wise- the shower curtain could be a little taller. There was a 20cm gap between the end of the curtain and floor and that caused the water to flood the entire bathroom floor. It would also be nice to have extra towels(big ones) in the room so you could use some in the spa and some in the room. |Only con in the room was that the rooms were not soundproof. You could hear people on the hallway and in the next room. For example i could hear through the wall people in the next room plugging in their phone charger. It did not disturb us at all but i can see it being a problem for some people. |Also, room was very clean so big thanks to the lady who was cleaning the room! ||Breakfast was tasty and i loved multiple coffee options- usually only black coffee is available and you have to add milk to your taste, in Kubija you can have latte, cappucino etc. Amazing! ||Staff was very polite and helpful. I have no remarks for them. They were cheerful and pleasant during our stay.|Definately will visit...

This place is all about vibes and the vibes were excellent. I'll go with the cons first: there's only one CD/playlist on loop in the restaurant area and if you stay there for more than than two days, it can get quite repetetive. Luckily it's just soothing lounge music, but still something that should be addressed. Lack of AC in some rooms (mine as well) wasn't an issue - I just left the French balcony door open and closed the curtains.||Pros: excellent staff, both day and night shift. Well suited buffet options when booking breakfast, half board or full board options that are on par with 4* business type hotels around Europe. Tried the main course (Legendaarne Kubija kännuke) my first day with extra charge and it was money well spent. I think they make their own bread and butter as well because it was like its own separate course - fresh, crispy crust and soft on the inside. Just what the doctor ordered! ||A HUGE PRO is the beautiful scenery and thanks to the pine forest, we had less than a handful of mosquitoes throughout our stay. And if you know about Estonian summers, mosquitos can drive you quite mad.||Small but decent rooms. Twin beds could be further apart, but understandably there's not much room for creating more space, so make sure you know who you're rooming...

Sadly our experience was unfriendly staff and can't agree that stay is relaxing. We booked room for 2 with dinner. Stay was booked with gift card our friends gave it to us. Unforrunately we received room with 2 single bed, when I asked administrator about possibility to change the room to double bed room we got a rude answer that why didn't we have booked double bed room then?! FYI , while booking they didn't even ask our preference and unfortunately we could not assume that while booking room for couple we could receive anything else besides double bed.

Room itself felt like underground (it was 2nd floor) very small windows where you could not see out and room was located next to the kids playroom, so be ready to waken up 7am by screaming kids.
