Molash Desta Guest House — Hotel in Addis Ababa

I first stayed in a hotel near downtown but moved to this hotel to be closer to my girlfriend's house. The price was terrific at 20usd a night. I had a king suite with a bedroom, living room area, and kitchenette. There is wifi. There is laundry service offered by one of the cleaning staff. No food served on premises but Sami Cafe is located up the street and will deliver and next door to it is a small grocery store. There is a bakery very close as well. Conveniently, a bank is on the street level in the same building. It is very removed from the typical tourist attractions of the city but the value is excellent. I stayed a month so the pricier hotels would have been very expensive for that long. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. I will stay there again next time I go. Instant hot water heater in the bathroom provided a good shower and the kitchenette allowed me to cook my own food and entertain guests. The room had a balcony which was nice. There is a lot of traffic noise as it sits next to a side street and highway but again the affordability is the trade-off. I did have to listen to another couple having a very loud and very prolonged intimate evening but maybe it was jealously more than annoyance. Overall I recommend this hotel to any budget...

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING - not recommended Our horror experience in this guest house - first of all member of staff seemed to be very friendly, but this was just acting. One of the member of staff broke our suitcase keys and stole money (couple of thousands) and a camera. The manager and the reception were not interested at all, police was notified, but so far investigation is still ongoing, despite the fact that cameras are installed on the house floor. There must have been a hidden camera in our room. There is no chance that someone could knew about the money that was hidden within three suitcases. An expensive suitcase was damaged and we had to buy new keys. This is a SERIOUS WARNING, it seems that especially foreign tourists are targeted, as it is probably more profitable. It is best not to book this guest house…. safes you lot of time and stress, if at all take all your valuables and do not leave room keys with any member of staff! Apart from this, you will not find a good night sleep - either because of traffic coming from the highway or the church, which starts between...

I really love this place we came from Canada for one month and 3 days..all families my 2 daughters and me my husband ..the room so awesome and the coustomer service so great they let u fill like ur home..everyday cleaners came clean everything the part i like u can cook ur ounce food ..all setup I really like the management and security perfect we leave our stuff money jewellery in front while we go out they come clean no one touches anything they are so honest..loundaries available...they all friendly me and my families so great full.. we really appreciate MOLASH DESTA GUSTE HOUSE teams for the good job and good coustomer service me and my families we thank you...
