Riverland Hotel — Hotel in Bahir Dar City, Amhara, Ethiopia

Great rooms but trash service! They made us leave so disappointed and with no breakfast.

Me and my girl spent my night in this hotel..specifically the on the FAMILY VIP room which obviouly has a breakfast service included. What happened is at the next morning we went out of our room at 4 and asked for a breakfast they said 15 minutes has passed from the breskfast time kicked us out with an empty stomach. And they were so rude and unnice about it. We left Sooo disappointed and they didn't even care!

Not to mention (2-3hours before the leaving time )they will call you so early in the morning and the janitors knock your door several times just to let you know to get out before the leaving time reaches otherwise wise u will be subjected for an extra pay. So unnice!

The rooms are good but the staff ,especially the janitors and the restorant waiters are so rude, not respectful and arrogant . Plus their dressing is so unclean and not professional. ( the manager is the only person who seems nice) the owner of this hotel should do...

I Just booked this hotel when I arrived Bahir Dar airport very pleasant phone call the hotel management I am a bit worried that it will be far because it across the Blue Nile however that is not the case Riverland it a new hotel it had everything you need I just got the VIP room with reasonable price. The room to big for one person it has everything you need hot and cold shower with a very good water pressure, comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities. you got your own veranda with a view of Lake Tena. The breakfast eat mostly Ethiopian however you can order Western breakfast your choice. The restaurant had everything you need taste food and good coffee and tea. If you want eat outside nearby a lot of restaurants coffee shop everything you need the plus part you get a free pick up and drop up from the airport even they will offer you around the city pick up. The bottom line you will never disappointed staying Riverland I definitely plan...

We have had a very comfortable stay at Riverland Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed all our meals. The one thing we loved is the location. You can walk and experience so much of the life and culture of Barhar Dar. There are banks nearby. If you ask for rooms with balconies you get a view of the street and down to Lake Tana. The sunsets are amazing. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms have good toilets, showers and hot water. We are very happy...
