MM Hotel — Hotel in Dire Dawa

I would give this hotel an honest 2/5. I would say that majority of the staff are kind however I woke up with small insects crawling up my back and with me having multiple swollen sites from my back being bitten by those insects. My sisters and I decided to look at the mattress and it was infested with those insects. Which means that they most likely don’t throughly clean the room and probably only change the top sheet. They switched our room and since they only had a 2 bed room, one of my sisters ended up having to sleep on the floor with a mattress. I wasn’t able to sleep that night knowing that the new bed in the new room most likely didn’t get thoroughly cleaned, my sister is sleeping on the floor, my luggage is most likely infested and I don’t have the time to disinfect my luggage before my next trip. Not only this but they also told us that the Ethiopian airline pilots will be flying the same day as us and that they don’t want anyone in the airport shuttle with them and that we won’t be able to join. After a few back and fourths they decided they will take us either before or after they take the pilots. I personally don’t think it’s right to give priority to the pilots when we are all paying to stay in the same hotel. And the hotel should only offer this kind of service, only if they had more than one shuttle. I wouldn’t recommend this place, but it you have no other choice. It seems as if they totally do not understand the concept of hospitality and the impact of every touch point on customers' level of satisfaction. After making a prior reservation and request for a shuttle service from the airport, I was surprised to find NO ONE at the airport when I arrived! OPS _ I called to the reception and they told me they were not informed ! WOOOOW _ I had to wait for about 20' till the driver comes. And guess what, he comfortably said he has to go in the airport and drop a luggage for someone _ leaving me behind! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT !??? I waited for another 15' and he didn't came back _ WOW. Luckily I recognize the city and the available alternatives. I took a taxi and stayed in another hotel. I don't recommend anyone to spend a day at the hotel. You have much better quality hotels with even cheaper price. Customers deserve quality service.
