Today, January 2, 2025, Haile Resort officially opened its 10th branch in Jimma, Oromia Region, Ethiopia.

This remarkable addition to Haile Resorts was inaugurated in the presence of Major General Haile Gebrselassie and local officials.

The construction of Haile Resort Jimma involved an investment of around 1.7 billion birr and was completed in just one year and eight months.

Currently, the hotel operates with 106 rooms, which will increase to 114 upon full completion. It has created 210 permanent jobs, with plans to expand employment opportunities to about 400 people in the future.

The resort features three dining venues, a children’s playground, and a Moroccan Bazaar, offering a variety of amenities for guests.

In his speech, Major General Haile thanked the workers for their efforts in completing the project within a short period. He also highlighted the challenges faced, noting that transporting construction materials from Addis Ababa added to the costs due to poor road conditions.

Jimma City Mayor, Ato Taha Qamar, praised the project as an inspiration for other investors, calling it a sign of Jimma’s welcoming and transformative nature.

Similarly, Ato Ijale Nasir expressed his joy, stating, "When Haile is called, we laugh; when Haile is called, we cry. This hotel is not just for Haile but for the people of Jimma."

Across its 10 branches, Haile Resorts now offers 900 rooms and has created job opportunities for 2,500 workers.

I just had an amazing stay at Haile Resorts Jimma and I can't recommend it enough! The service here is top-notch. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and super helpful. They made me feel right at home.

The food? Absolutely delicious! The restaurant offers a great variety of dishes, both local and international. so many tasty options to choose from. If you get a chance, definitely try some traditional Ethiopian dishes; they’re fantastic!

The atmosphere of the hotel is really nice, too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Plus, the beautiful decor adds a nice touch.

Overall, Haile Resorts Jimma is a fantastic spot for anyone visiting the area. Great service, amazing food, and wonderful employees make it a place I can't wait...

I recently stayed at Haile Resort in Jimma, and I was truly disappointed by my experience. For a newer hotel, I expected much better standards. When I requested to speak with the manager for feedback, they sent a supervisor instead, which felt dismissive.

The outdoor gazebo area is poorly designed—with rough concrete floors instead of ceramic, making it dusty and unpleasant. The ceiling is also too low, causing the space to become uncomfortably hot. Waiting for food took an unreasonable amount of time, which added to the frustration.

While some of the servers were polite, the overall service was lacking and didn’t meet even basic expectations. Unfortunately, my visit was a total disaster, and I wouldn’t recommend Haile Resort Jimma to others based on...
