Gezahegn and Elfinesh Resort - Hawassa ገዛኸኝ እና እልፍነሽ ሪዞርት - ሃዋሳ — Hotel in Sidama

I would like to thank the staff and most of all the management of this resort while I stayed in Awasa for 2 Months while doing a project for the town water supply.||||Being my first trip to Africa and being from Australia. The staff and management were very friendly and made this place like home for me while I stayed. Also Mr Gezaghen made me feel very welcome.||||The food was great, service was excellent and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious as the saying goes " I slept like a baby at night"||||They even catered for me with certain requests which made this very helpful for me. I stayed with a tour group from Compassion International for about a week and was very impressed by the accommodations. I was in a single room and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in! There was also a mosquito net provided, which is important in this region.|The staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful at every opportunity.|Of course you are still in a developing country, so wifi is unreliable, but this is to be expected. I stayed here for 1 night only on a short trip to Awasa. My room was large and comfortable and had good WiFi. I ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were OK - but nothing special. Service was poor and choice was limited. I was expecting a more resort feel to the hotel - but it didn't just make the grade. Almost as if no one was really very bothered to make sure that everything was just right. Staff could have done with a bit better training - although at the reception they were fine.
