Saron Lodge — Hotel in Sidama

This place is truly incredible. ||First, let me say that I am a logistics manager for a U.S. non-profit that hosts medical clinics all over Ethiopia. We came with a large group of doctors and rented every single room for a week while we did a medical clinic in Dilla in September 2022. Such a large group, renting every room, puts a big strain on a lodge's staff; the kitchen and the housekeepers, and the Saron Lodge rose to the occasion with excellence. Lets get to the review...||The lodge itself and the grounds are absolutely beautiful - Lots of lush greenery and large trees (with monkeys!).||The staff was super friendly and accommodating from start to finish. Check in and check out was easy. The front desk can take credit cards. ||The food was good and served timely. Also, no one got sick! This is a big victory for us - foreigners travelling through Africa will often get sick, but we did not get sick at the Saron Lodge. This tells me that the kitchen was using clean utensils and boiling water properly for cooking and cleaning. And considering how large our group was, the cleanliness and quality of the meals was very impressive.||The rooms were clean. All the rooms had electricity, and all the bathrooms had hot and cold water from the sinks and showers, and all the toilets flushed. We all saw a few bugs, but nothing crazy and no mosquitoes when we were there. The housekeeping staff was friendly, cleaned every room daily, and we had no issues with theft. ||There is also a large outdoor swimming pool that several members our group enjoyed. And a double deck treehouse available for meetings!||There is a creek that runs along one side of the lodge, so from most rooms you can hear the soft sound of the water running over the rocks. It's a very relaxing vibe!||The owner called me personally after we checked out to ask if we had a positive experience and ask if I had any feedback for him. It is very clear that this place puts a strong emphasis on customer service and a quality experience...

We are a group of 15 travellers who booked Saron Lodge at the last minute when we needed a hotel in Dila. We were welcomed very warmly by the entire team at Saron. Despite arriving at around 9:30pm, we were welcomed with a coffee ceremony and a heart dinner. The rooms are quite luxurious, private and very clean. The entire establishment is only 2 years old. While we were off early the next morning and therefore didn't have time to enjoy the resort, I would highly recommend Saron to anyone looking for accommodation...

Its very calm and lovely place. The wood land along with well designed rooms and restaurants. Its a right place to listen your soul. What I most liked is free from alcohol and bad drugs. The place you can take your kids without doubt. Its my first time to get Bible on bedside desk. The owner are passionate to make your stay very peaceful. They are not profit oriented from cheap. Socially and religiously responsible! If you get chance to travel to the greenland Dilla, never miss to visit...
