I stayed at Haile Resort in Wolaita Sodo and honestly, it was one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve had in southern Ethiopia. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and attentive — always ready with a smile and genuine hospitality.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with large windows that let in natural light and offer views of the city. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. I especially appreciated the little touches — like the locally inspired decor and the quiet atmosphere.

The restaurant was a highlight. Whether you’re into traditional Ethiopian dishes or something more continental, the menu has plenty of options. The portions were generous, and the prices were surprisingly fair for a resort. I had a group dinner there, and everyone left full and happy.

This hotel absolutely deserves 5 stars! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile. The hotel itself was sparkling clean, and our room was immaculate.||||We were so grateful to have a restaurant on-site, especially one that was so affordable. For a group of 8, we could easily enjoy a delicious meal for just $60-$75. The portions were huge, and many dishes were perfect for sharing.
