The place lies on a huge territory, the rooms originally were great. But the ambitions have faded away with the time. We have stayed there a few days, changed and seen a few rooms.

A lot of their electrical networks inside the rooms are lacking maintenance and falling out or falling apart. You have open live wires sticking out in many places around the walls. All the bed lamps that we saw had their bulbs missing and not working. Their switches on the walls were extremely confusing and it was not easy to figure out what turns on what. A serious indicator of a slightly incompetent enginnering approach.

Most of the windows were set with 10-2 mm openinngs between them and the walls which invited swams of malaria friendly mosquitoes at night. A mosquito coil was the only effecient solution unless you were happy to fight the desease afterwards. No mosquito nets at all!

Plumbing was the worst of the amenities of the room. It was not just bad, it was a major disaster and totally hopeless. Whatever the owner had in mind, he definitely had a zero idea how to go about setting and maintainning water systems in the rooms. The smell of sewage was welcoming you every time you were entering the bathroom. A few times we had to fix back their siphons, that simply were not secured inside the sewage pipes and were hanging free leaving the sink water on the floor. The shower pipes and heads were just leaking and sprinking it all over, some were barely holding there. No flexible hoses in showers.

Hot water was always an issue. We had to fight to have it. And although every time that it was not there the staff was promising that would come in 5, 10 or 30 minutes, it most of the time has never been the case. Only after being pushed a good number of times the staff was coming out with solutions one of which was to go wash in another room a few blocks away in another building of the hotel, good 100 meters away from where were staying.

They said they had Internet. Perhaps, they did, but we did not! The speed of the connection was so slow that we had to rely on our mobile phones for it all the time.

They said the breakfast was there and free. Ok, it was a breakfast only beacause they called it a breakfast. Poor quality, very limited choice. 60 types of injera, a dozen of boiled eggs, a totally basic salad and a few types of bread. They did not even have salt anywhere around and tried to charge us 40 Birr for water when we asked for it. Their was no water at all. Do not expect anything fancy when you are told the breakfast is part...

We stayed at Jinka Resort for a few nights during our trip, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. From the second we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Check-in was quick and easy, and they even gave us a few great tips on local places to visit.||The room was super clean, bright, and really comfortable. The bed was cozy, the shower had great water pressure, and everything felt well taken care of. I also really appreciated the little details—like the fresh bottled water, good coffee, and strong Wi-Fi (which actually worked!).||The resort itself is beautiful—peaceful and surrounded by nature, but still close enough to get to the main town or attractions easily. We had breakfast at the resort every morning, and it was delicious. Lots of variety and fresh food, and the staff were so attentive.||What really stood out was the level of service. Everyone we met seemed genuinely happy to help and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.||Jinka Resort is definitely one of those places where you feel relaxed the moment you arrive. Would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and we’re already talking about...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Unforgettable Stay at Jinka Resort Arbaminch!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jinka Resort in Arbaminch, and I can confidently say it was one of the most welcoming and memorable experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that instantly made me feel at home.

What truly set this resort apart was the manager—an absolute gem! Kind, attentive, and always ready to go above and beyond to make sure every guest is comfortable and happy. Their personal touch and genuine hospitality made all the difference. It's rare to find someone who leads with such heart and dedication.

The resort itself is beautiful—peacefully nestled in nature with stunning views, clean and comfortable rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it the perfect escape from the busy world.
