The positive part first. It's well located in Alamata on the top hill, there is a garden/parking space with beautiful mango trees (unfortunately mangos were not yet ripe). But the rooms are really dodgy. We got a double bedroom for us and our 2 kids (including a baby), we had to look for a room were there was water. The hot water was working but not the cold. It was fortunate that we had a bassinet and mixed extremely hot water with cold from the tap. The bathroom was extremely small and the sink almost falling apart. The bed were clean. The night was noisy with the guests eating/drinking at the terrace one level below. The restaurant has a terrace that goes into the garden/yard. It was nice to eat there and the Ethiopian food was alright but the two times we ate there (evening and breakfast) we got twice food that we didn't order. The coffee was not tasting good for the quality ethiopia can provide. And last, the morning we left there was an altercation with a drunk guy spitting at the staff. I also found unused condom near the bed of my daughter, obviously offered by the hotel to its guests... coming back to the positive part: if you intend to stay in Alamata you probably don't have the choice. And it's 1/2h drive (of winding road) from the beautiful lake of...
