Older 2 star (at best) hotel that has some advantages and some disadvantages.
Pros.....Good strong AC needed for the humid heat. Strong consistent and relatively fast WIFI. Fridge, oven and stove that can be used to cook locally. Small convivence store attached out front that has some drinks and snacks. Spacious rooms that can sleep 4 folks.
Cons.....VERY, very dated, and looks like it is right out of the 1980s. Hot water was lukewarm at best. Numerous cockroaches, especially in the shower area. No breakfast or restaurant.
The price was moderate ($80 per night, taxes included) and if nothing else is available this was not the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The bugs tended to stay in the shower area, but had they been in the sleeping area, I would have...
Read moreI have stayed here multiple times. It is a little far from town, but the service is very good, AC is cold with nice kitchenettes in most, if not all, rooms. I enjoyed the walk from the hotel to town- maybe a mile or two. Comfortable, with some nice views from the balcony. Also, there are (were) a couple mango trees that you could actually reach the fruit from the balcony. I did have a little issue with a peeping tom one day, but I think it was because there was a new white girl on the island (my girlfriend at the time).
