We stayed at L5 Hotel for one night after flying in that morning. They collected us at the airport in a nice air-conditioned car, tho it would be possible to walk. We had asked for an early check-in and luckily for us our room was ready so we could go straight in. The staff carried our bags up to level 2, I don’t think the lifts have worked for some time. Our room was large and roomy with a balcony and big bathroom and shower area. If the walls were painted a more neutral colour and a few little bits of maintenance were done it would be really nice, but it had everything we needed and was very comfortable.|There is no TV but there is a water cooler which is great. The wifi works well and the air-conditioning is very good. Our room had an ocean view which is really an ocean glimpse and it overlooks the airport but all nice and open. The water is very low pressure and the hot water is just warm (don’t turn the cold tap on), but the bathroom has soap and pump shampoo/conditioner supplied and a hair dryer.|The power outlets are all US style but we had adapters with us. There is a great desk lamp with different settings and a USB charger in the side (if you unplug the clock). The bed was amazingly comfortable and we slept very well.|They have a café restaurant downstairs so we ate dinner and breakfast there. The staff were great and the food was good. Breakfast was a stand-out with really good coffee and home-made hash browns with our bacon and eggs.|There is a shop around to the right from the hotel within easy walking distance and the FSM Telecom is right there as well if you need a sim card. Tip – get it all working in your phone/device before you leave their office. We went back three times but then the guy we saw was really good and resolved the...

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, meeting the waiting driver with my printed name sign at TKK Airport and followed him, carrying our bags to the van, arriving nearby at 3:30PM.|The nice receptionist took my name and produced a reserved form filled out with our room, door code and wifi code and we followed the porter up the stairs to the 4th floor.|Room #412 was tiled and spacious with a king and queen, both with solid mattresses, a water machine(steaming hot and cold drinking), refer, TV but no signal, slow secure room wifi and quiet wall AC. A door opened to a large balcony with a view of the lush jungle of 1,100’ Mountain Tonachau.|We ate at their popular cafe/restaurant that opens at 7AM and 5:30PM for dinner with an extensive menu to suit most cultures; many fish preparations, pizzas, hamburgers, tacos and rice dishes.|We walked 850m down the main drag to the excellent Ace Hardware Store(best groceries), then 1.2km farther to the Truk Stop passing all types of small shops, bigger stores and large outfitters. These provide necessities for the fishing fleet and all the islanders coming on numerous shoreline skiffs that live within Chuuk’s large fringe reef.|We were pleased with this friendly 17 room hotel at the quiet end of town which included airport transfers, nice accommodation and 24 hour reception.|On the negative side the elevator was “out of service”, so our 4 story climb...

Room with bug infestations, stay out! Stayed at the hotel for a stopover that included a redeye. Whilst the service was and room was good on the surface considering the remote location, I ended up checking out early and sleeping at the airport instead. The room had an ant infestation (not too bad) but once it got dark, the room was taken over by roaches of all sizes. When I turned on the light I saw no fewer than a dozen roaches scurry away just then. They ended up in my clothing and bag as well and under everything I picked up in the room. This wasn't a few roaches either but dozens so I left early in disgust. When I told the person at the front desk they didn't seem surprised. I know keeping a hotel up to standard in such a humid and remote location is difficult but this was still unacceptable and not something I experienced on other stays in Micronesia.

Very convenient as it is maybe a hundred meters or so from the airport. Basically the moment I left the airport, I looked to my left and there it was. The room is huge. I didn't see any cockroaches in my room, but the desk table did have crumbles of chocolate in it and the bathroom had some left over soap. So the room was cleaned... Haphazardly at the very least. But well, I think (and hope) that the bed was at least freshly made. The shower has good pressure, but no hot water, which I didn't mind because it was hot either way. The room has air-conditioning and a water dispenser. For the restaurant, the food was decent. It is very much American style (minus the tipping). I would not necessarily go here if not for the convenience.

Highly recommend! While this hotel may not be much to look at from the outside, inside it is just right! The staff bends over backward to help out, each and every staff member was really nice and polite. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant is quite good. They shuttle you to/from the airport and are very accommodating in that regard. The airport is walkable, but it's not necessary, especially if you have roller bags. Nice views of the ocean over the airstrip.
